This is how close the table is at the moment : Southampton are in 16th position. We are in 7th. If they beat us by 2 goals, they will go above us. A win would be soooo welcome. But not a win like last seasons match - that did nothing to make me believe we were any good. I think we really need a deserved win today, as opposed to a lucky win.
In an ideal world you're right. We should never have won that game last season imo. Saints couldn't hit a barn door that day and should have been out of sight. But we took the three points and I'd settle for that today even if we're not at our best. We all love to see the Swans playing well, moving the ball around and sticking it in the back of the net but what's the point of playing well and losing? Nah, not for me. It's the 3 points that matter.
Interesting team? Going with the diamond, looks like monk wants to control the midfield instead of using pace in the counter attack! I think this may be a good plan and bring on montero when Southamptons legs are going
The Swansea Way - RIP. From a side that looks after the ball and deprives the opposition of possession we are doing the reverse - giving it away for fun. You cannot do that in the Prem. Awful. Just awful.
