You and me both. The game arguably matches the only two PL sides who have outplayed all their opponents. To say City will be the sternest test yet of a defense that has three straight PL clean sheets is putting it mildly. On the bright side, my Cubs clinched a post season spot for the first time in five years last night. They had finished fifth three straight years. When Kane threw out the first pitch for the Cubs he was a youth player and Arrieta, to the right of my avatar, was a fairly obscure pitcher. Arrieta last week became the first American major league pitcher to get 20 wins, just as Kane was the first PL 20 goal scorer last year. Like Spurs, the Cubs have the best collection of very young players in the league, with a shoo-in rookie of the year player. Also, obviously, the team colors are similiar. Good omens for Spurs this year? We’ll see.
Why did Hargreaves interview Son in German? They both speak English. Perhaps BT didn't want to inflict the Welsh-Canadian-German-Englishman's mangled accent on people?
I thought Chadli was good against Arsenal, always looked a threat. If Lamela's playing down the left I worry that he doesn't have the strength to compete with Sagna or the pace to cause him a lot of problems. On Lamela's last couple of performances he doesn't deserve to be benched but I'd have picked Chadli, N'Jie, Townsend and Rose ahead of him on the left wing.
That's an awful kick by Lloris from a poor backpass. The club's self-advertising has lots of Korean today. Seems sensible.
A couple of seasons on, I still can't believe that the main reason we conceded within 14 seconds was because various players were tying their laces and fixing their shinpads after the game had kicked off. Seriously, how can such mass incompetence be possible?
How is their no clash between our dark blue shorts and theirs? What was wrong with their sky blue kit?
The bt commentator just said this is MPs 99th game in charge of spurs...really? 60 last season and 9 (inc this one) makes 99 now does it?
It's one of those things that goes around and around in your head, and at no point does it make any sense. I've spent nearly 20 years trying to work out what Craig Burley was doing in the 1996 FA Cup semi final...
1-0, De Bruyne. ****'s sake. No cover down the left, again. Offside. ****, short corner and that's the result.
