I watched the majority of the game, but lost interest in the 2nd half when it became clear that Man City decided the job was done and decided to go through the motions. They comfortably saw the game out. You played well to the point as you were fairly competitive against a very good side for 20mins, trying to pass the ball about, before defending badly, giving away goals and then getting battered for 15mins without actually suffering the pain the domination deserved.

Its just simply understanding how football works really i.e. one side is better than the other over 45mins, leads 4-0 and decides to get the cigars out. It happens quite often. In those situations I'm sure you can understand you don't need to watch the full game to form an opinion. The highlights then confirmed that you enjoyed no where near the domination they did in the first period in the half hour I didn't watch. So over the 90mins and in the context of what happened in the first 45mins, the best team won.

Hated it? On the contrary I thoroughly enjoyed watching your side get humped. Always do.

You keep hanging your hat on you and Paul's observations though against an enormous amount of evidence to the contrary. you know, your manager and all the countless professional press attendees and their reports

 

I'd disagree. You did have a couple of good chances but then so did Aguero. He was clean through on occasion pushing it past the far post and missed a simple pull back from Navas too. Toivonen's header was a good chance he should have done better with. Borini had a half chance but to be fair it was well defended.

We'll be getting humped at the weekend. You lot probably will too. Chelsea and Man U probably there for the taking as much as they have ever been, sadly both North East sides seem determined to fight tooth and nail to attain 20th place.

 

TBH we are both cr*p fighting to see who can be worst...Our problem is we have an awful defence and give goals away...we can score a few, but we cannot stop conceding, I have not watched you lot much but a general impression is you lack commitment and heart

 

I'd suggest we have a defence just as bad as yours too. I mean you are the only club where Haidara may have a chance of playing due to van Aanholt looking complete turd, but you have to consider our captain is at centre back and he finished playing 3 years ago.

 

We were 100%, and after that both teams just went through the motions.
