Wow the Ancelotti rumours are really picking up.

I agree that Klopp would be a more natural fit for LFC, but Ancelotti is a big admirer as well. Read his quotes and interviews. But he is the better manager of the two - really hope we go for him.

Neil Ashton at Daily Mail reported this and he's pretty reliable - has contacts to Carlo from his time at Chelsea.

Strong rumours about Ancelotti circulating, though it doesn't necessarily follow he'll come.

I don't care if it's Klopp or Ancelotti - or neither - I just don't want another 'up-and-coming' young manager, I want a winner because I'm tired of this ****.

Saw the rumour on Twitter from Alan Brazil about Ancelotti so listened in to his show. They were interviewing Roy Evans and he tried to stay on the fence, but also said give BR more time because of the money he's spent. Brazil was saying well he's had injuries which hasn't helped, but he said he couldn't see us exploding into action, whereas the other presenter was saying give him until Christmas. The injuries, OK, but even when we've been at full strength we've been average at times, even when Suarez played sometimes when we came 2nd.

I'm sorry, but it's all down to Rodgers. He's had four years FFS and nothing he does works! If he can't get it right now when will he? He's lost the fans, he's lost the players as well, I think. It's time for him to go.

Beecroft also said this morning that you won't be getting Klopp, he was definitve.

Main issue is if we sack Rodgers then the 'plan' we had has been a complete waste. We started with a great plan in principle, signing players like Coutinho, Allen, Sturridge, Alberto, Sahin on loan and only two of them actually kicked on.

We signed way too much promise for this plan to work and the biggest problem with young players is that they either prove there potential or waste away, we're getting that with Allen for example.

Finishing in seventh gave us a platform to grow into it, we then exploded the following season and went a incredible 2nd position, where do you go from there? No one had any plan for that.

I believe the plan was Champions League in two seasons, contenders in three, winners by 5/6 seasons. We over achieved and the only next step we had was way before it was planned so we came across as being a bit lost now.

I would say it's not really Rodgers fault, he massively over achieved in his early stage of his career as did the board and players.

Now we lost all identity and confidence and rather than bringing in a plan get a manager who will get results now.

Agree with this although we also bought the wrong older players such as Lallana, Lovren, etc

Agreed, we have some great young talent in this team and to have them 'look up' to the senior players like Skrtel, Lovren and Lallana won't end well.

We had Reina, Carragher and Gerrard to look up to but we needed to sign very experienced players, like Schweinsteiger for Man U.

And why do we end up with the likes of Lovren and Lallana rather than a Schweinsteiger...? It's not due to the transfer fee or CL football is it?

Honestly think he'll be gone by end of Everton game because I think they'll beat us and I think we would have only drawn with Villa.

Agree with all on the criticism of the structure set up around him and the slowness of the owners to change their policies regarding wages.

Only hope is that if we target an experienced manager with a winning record they will come with conditions about the set up of their own.

Their first question in that meeting should be are you going to actually do what needs to be done to attract the players needed to achieve the targets in place.

do you think FSG would be willing to listen considering they changed some of their policies (sacked Comolli and scraped the DoF approach) to get Brod?
