    So as I hoped, Martial remained and Rooney went to 10.

    Rooney was awful though. Beyond awful.

    I don't think Rooney had a shot at goal today. It's quite strange. I do have a feeling that he would pull something out of the bag eventually. History tells us Rooney can go from zero to 9 in short period of time.

    since SAF left, Rooney form since years has been a pedestrian for us or at least let us say inconsistent .. Is good he is now having competition hopefully that will inspire him

    I doubt inspiration is the problem for Rooney. And if it is, Martial wont fix that.

    I wish he was as influential in games as he used to be. But the truth is there are others who are far more influential and the game seems to pass him by.

    Anyway, he's had a great start and you needed a striker. He looks old for a 19 year old though and he's already had a zillion kids too

    He's got a calmness about him. Its almost arrogant in that its like its just normal.

    Looks like it comes natural to him in the strikers position and why its better to view his Monaco stats after they moved him into the number 9 role. 8 in 12 was pretty too. 4 in 4 for us is just mental for a United player.
