It means **** all, if we win we get into the next round, if we lose then who really cares, we'd just get knocked out in the next round anyway. Nice to be in the draw though. Leicester have had a cracking start to the season, fair play to them. It obviously won't last, it never does for smaller teams but if they can survive again then great for them. If they get into a rut/pick up injuries etc then it could all go tits very quickly, it happened to us in 2008/09.
I'll be laughing tomorrow when the lads will be telling me they are glad to be out - they're glad to be able to focus on the league! We've never done that, have we?

I've always considered the League Cup to be nothing more than a useful proving ground for promising youngsters and fringe players. We're trying to get promoted, that's the sole aim, any of this cup malarkey can wait until after then. You get sod all money in this competition unless you actually win it and realisitcally are we going to beat the likes of Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal, who we'll inevitably draw at some point? It's nice to have a little cup run, but had we been knocked out by Rochdale, would people have been really pissed off because we didn't get very far, or would they have been apathetic and said it didn't matter?
Some would have said it didn't matter because this board is full of Ticklers. We go to watch City in the hope that they one day might win something. If we won the League Cup it'd be a massive deal.
We ve got to this stage by playing mostly a second string. Now its time yo play stronget team and go for it..
Cheers Sterling. ... we made 10 changes against West Ham ... they made 3 from the team that won against Man City ... watch the highlights. .. could have won by 8 - Adrian hot MOM .. we've never had a squad with this depth .. so few fears on that front. . we'll obviously lose one at some point and might well be against you boys .. but prospects have never looked brighter in all my time as a fan ..
