    Wes puts Howson through on the break who squares it into the danger zone and Lafferty gets a second (or puts enough pressure on his defender for an OG).

    Comfortable. And we've sent out mostly a second XI, which means our key players are generally rested for Saturday. Only Bassong and Olsson have played 90 who you'd expect to play 90 on Saturday.

    Me. <ok> He isn't ahead of Jerome for our PL style. One goal does not a PL striker make. But he definitely deserves a spot on the bench IMO.

    Lafferty did come on at a good time after WBA had to come out of all out defence and go for a goal. I'm hugely pleased he got the goal and forced another one, but that doesn't mean he should start, but he has to be fighting for a place on the bench.

    Not saying he should start, but he should be ahead of Grabban. And I'm not just staying that because of the way he acted a few weeks ago but I just think Lafferty is the better footballer.
