Somebody check his Twitter to see if he vowed to never play for Daniel Levy again following the collapse of his move to Kvetch Bromwich Albion.
And if I can see fazio was going to be a liability before kick off then so should our manager...we have won 2 carling cups in 24 yrs and he choses this bollocks team? Disgraceful decision imo and I am one of those who have argued he needs to be shown loyalty but he has shown nothing to us tonight except contempt imo...the NLD is important and he treated it like a joke...utter bollocks
Much better second half performance, until the goal, but we gave ourselves too much to do. Should've been 100% for this one. Someone needs to have a word, frankly.
As I said - this will look even worse at 3pm Saturday after we lose to City. Should've accepted the defeat to City and focussed on this.
Only 15 more chances to win anything else this decade, I am starting to get worried as I loved that record..
Well, the second half was livelier. Clinton looked good. Wimmer, Kane, Rose, Eriksen, Chadli and Dier put in good performances. There's a greater chance I will never have to see Fazio play for Spurs again. That's about it for the positives.
Hope they get man city away. What a disappointing performance, really un Derby like, will be nice to get dembele and mason back in the team. Still least we won't be playing the Europa league quater finals 3 days before the league cup final again
If we don't get at least a point v City then this will be shown up as one of the worst decisions by MP since he has been with us. arsenal can play a weakened team as to them this cup doesn't mean so much given they have won the FA cup 2 years on the bounce. We should be 100% in this all the time, especially v Arsenal at home. I'm so ****ing pissed off with that joke of a defence we had out.
I'm well pissed off now does the manager not know how much it means to us spurs fans to beat the Woolwich nomads . He picked the wrong team from the start. I don't care about resting players for the man City game I want us to beat the goons every time.
Unfortunately it's true that no Spurs fans wanted to see Fazio in the NLD that I could imagine. And that he managed to be even worse than anyone expected. I know I've seen worse performances from defenders, I just can't think of when. I was thinking about playing Wimmer and Vertonghen, actually. It's two left footers, but I like the look of Wimmer. Surely it couldn't have been as bad as playing Fazio. Vorm is another very questionable decision, though at least there is a rationale for it. I can only hope this improves Pochettino's decisions in the future. As important as rotation may be, you shouldn't kill a good run with it, I think. Rotate when the first team look a little ragged and are not playing so well. It is true Fazio is very good in the air, second best to Bentecke in the PL in aerial duels last year, I think. He would be very handy to have if we could bring him on for set pieces, then take him off immediately, as in the NFL. But as it stands he's an accident who doesn't wait very long to happen. And the thing is,the big problem isn't that he's slow, though that should have been enough reason for a high pressing team not to get him. It's the way he often gifts possession to the other team. After a while I held my breath every time he got the ball, hoping he could manage to avoid doing something awful.
