You need to give your reserve game time and you want to avoid injury to your number one in the early stages of the league cup etc. But not for a NLD.

The worst thing about this is that this arsenal team are not particularly great. A strong team out and we would win this. It's not to say we can't still but the fact we are losing to a **** goal like that as well just makes it all the more frustrating
0-1 HT. Well that was ****, wasn't it? Neither side were particularly up to much, but our dodgy defending and sloppy goalkeeping gave them the lead. Those that haven't been playing much recently really look well off the pace, which isn't a surprise. The team selections have really damaged this one, in my opinion. The crowd don't even sound particularly up for it and the standard of play's been really poor.
It does have an away to Red Bulls feel about it, doesn't it? We picked the players low on confidence and are getting the performances we might expect. Wimmer was good. Rose was lively. This is the second time Pochettino has chosen a heavily rotated side when others might not. He did something similar last year to end a good run. I think he overthinks it. It's hard to get a team playing well, and easy to knock them off track by playing a team no one expects.
Fazio is not good enough we all know that. I'm not convinced by Tom Carroll yet he looks way too lightweight and he looks nervous on the ball bringing it forward. Townsend has worked hard but I can think of anything good that he has done. Eriksen has done ok considering he's only just back. Trippier has been average. The only stand out player has been Rose which is good news as I think he is a better player than Davies overall.
This is going to sound a bit kneejerk, I think, but it might be time to replace Vorm in January. He's a good keeper, as he proved at Swansea, but I don't think he's suited to his current role. Some players can come in cold and perform and I'm not convinced that he's one of them.
I think we should go with the Barcelona system of one goalie for the league and one for the cup. Then they are both fresh and match tested. We also ought to change three or four each match rather than these wholesale changes. Keeps continuity and no-one rusty.
This is a disgrace...with our centre backs and keeper playing we are at worse drawing, with ali and son we are hurting them...MP has ****ed this up big time and better sort it out ... we are **** today
