I think there are 4 definites Lloris, Kane, Koscielny and Sanchez and then most of the others are a bit of a toss-up (or tosser in Wilshere's case). In the case of the full backs I don't think either club knows who its best pair are, never mind which are the two best of the eight.

I'm well up for this game...I hope we hammer them.

    Lioris
    Trippier Toby Wimmer Rose
    Dier Alli
    Njie Eriksen Son
    Kane.

    Take kane off for chadli
Switch Chadli with Son, putting Son upfront
    Lamela on for Eriksen.

If I'm fiddling...that's how I'd fiddle, but I'd be tempted to take Son off at some stage to rest him up for City. Think he will thrive in that game.

Rose was for us too although he's not started too well either.

What's even stranger about the choices is that Ramsey plays on the right and Ozil in the middle yet they're the otherway around in his team.

    Personally, I'd have:

    Lloris
    Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Rose
    Cazorla, Bentaleb
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Chadli
    Kane

That's in terms of performances for their respective clubs anyway. Coquelin has only really been playing regularly for you guys for a few months and Alli, Son and Dier(as a midfielder) have started superbly but it's still very early days for them also. If it was done on ability rather than what they'd shown for their current club then I think it'd be:
    Lloris/Cech
    Bellerin, Alderweireld, Mertesacker, Rose
    Ramsey, Bentaleb
    Son, Eriksen/Cazorla, Sanchez
    Kane

I think the 'keepers and number 10s are a coin flip, 2 quality options for both positions. I don't know why Wenger plays Ramsey further forward when his best form came in central midfield and Cazorla is far more influention when he's in the final third.

I don’t either. I just hope he keeps doing it. And what I really hope he doesn’t do is play

    Ramsey Coquelin
    Sanchez Cazorla Walcott
    Giroud

    Easily their best team, IMO.

That's an even weaker lineup than was rumored. I'm shocked we'd start Fazio today and Alderweireld against Qarabag. And as weak as it is, Dier still doesn't get a rest (not that I'd rest him here). I'm also surprised Lamela isn't on the bench.

(edit) Well, I see Arsenal also has a fairly weak lineup. I just don't see it. It's one of the three biggest games all year for both sets of fans.

One thing that makes sense in our lineup, at least, is that we have our three biggest aerial threats in when Trippier is starting. (And not Alderweireld, who so far has looked good at winning aerial duels and directing powerful headers somewhere other than the goal.)

Again, I would have rested everyone against Qarabag, including Dier and Alderweireld, and played a full strength, or nearly full strength lineup, in the three games this week.

    COYS!

Seems odd to pick a weaker side for this game than we did against Carrier Bag.
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Campbell will be looking to go past Giroud and get at our centre-halves, who haven't played together yet.
They've got virtually no protection from the midfield either, so they could be badly exposed.

The Arsenal board is equally gloomy. Should be a decent match up

I really can't understand changing the goalkeeper. Had a feeling all day that Townsend was going to have a great game, probably deluded mid you. Least if things start going pear shaped we have son and the son of zidane on the bench to try and save things.

Do the managers not understand what the NLD means to us?
Really irritated by that team...we are on a good run...why not build on it?
Stupid team choice which is not ok in my book

Fazio needs to have a good game. I'll just say that.

I can not see us keeping a clean sheet...we could well be chasing the game with many of our best performers not on the pitch.
I have supported MP but this team selection is unacceptable. .. townsend and rose were really poor last thursday...so why give them a start against tge goons? This ain't a mickey mouse cup match ... it's a NLD and we should be playing our best 11...end of story imo
