In his early Atletico Madrid and Liverpool days, Torres was a world class striker, a lot better than Drogba. I still struggle to understand how he ended up as bad as he did. We are seeing it more and more often in the modern game with players getting to 26-27 and being past there best, I think it has a lot to do with all the money in the game. When your earning what the likes of Torres, Rooney, Ronaldinho, Kaka etc are earning by the time your 25 where is the motivation to strive to get better? That's what sets the likes of Ronaldo apart, no matter how much money he's earnt, he's still obsessed with being as good as he possibly can be, and at 30 is probably still at his peak
Liverpool crocked him. He admitted himself they played him too much as they couldn't win without him under Rafa. They did the same to Owen and Fowler, and are doing it to Sturridge right now. They've broken more strikers than the Tories...
Why are you laughing? You disagree with his assertion that Zola was a great player? #headclearlyupyourarseagain
