Wenger stated a few weeks ago that in the last two weeks of July significant transfer dealing will be done. 12 days to go until August and still bugger all. If he made no more additions, are there any gooners out there that think we would have a sufficient squad to compete for the title?

and it will only get worse - no change there then!

It will likely go down to the wire, waiting for others to clinch deals to free players up at bargain basement prices.
However - will they be players that will make a difference?

To be fair, I think Wenger actually said that most transfer activity will happen at the end of July. I know it's hard to be patient, but let's just wait until the transfer window closes to make an assessment of how Wenger has performed.

Well 2 weeks = 14 days and we have 12 left, plus the weekend shaved off 2 of those days. Honestly, be impatient if we are going into our first league game with the same squad, but for now we still have time.

i'll be pretty unhappy if this is the squad. there was BIG talk of a BIG summer at the start, and i expected fast signings. i expected ins and outs. yet denilson, almunia, and a few others still remain and the only significant signing is gervinho. i'm not talking significant in monetary terms, but in terms of ability to challenge for a 1st team place on matchday.

i'm not one of the big arsenal critics, but so far, i'm disappointed.

"Arsenal.com will have the official announcement once the loan deal is completed."

    He hasn't gone yet.

Bendtner will also go - sold or on loan.

Barca are running out of time to increase their offer - but I have a feeling they will.
That will push AW into trying harder to find somebody.

If he doesn't sign a CB we will endure another season of make do and mend at the back.
