Good afternoon from a St Helier where the weather is changeable. This morning I did what I did 11 years ago today and that was to go to Havre des Pas beach to just watch the sea. Then I was calming down after learning that my dad had died, today it was to remember the good man he was.
Thanks Frenchie, the weather forecast looks good about 23 degrees. We will certainly try it out. We are staying in Neffies in a small hotel owned by an English couple. Does anybody know of a bar in the area that will show the Watford game on Sunday, don't mind travelling a bit.

Morning all, bright and dry with just a touch of autumn freshness about at present. Heading north this afternoon with my seven hour journey to Dieppe. I know the route so well I thought that a change would be good, but I have the choice of adding an hour to it by missing some of the autoroute, or using a different one which costs three times as much in tolls. Looks as if I will be travelling the same way. Looking forward to meeting up with all the old friends again for our annual reunion, but not happy that I cannot get to a game this time. Have a good day whatever you are up to.
Evening all from a hotel in Dieppe. Just had a superb meal of local dishes, so very fishy. The waiter who is rushed off his feet has just said he understands my French which creates a feeling of friendliness towards him. The wine was also good which means I managed 50cl of red all on my own, while Mme settled for her glass of white which she said was very good and she enjoyed. Now watching the second half of the rugby with "Les Bleues" and catching up with the days events. Sleep well Dave.
Morning all! Belated congrats Yorkie! .. Happy travels M Frenchie . So, that's my 25 hour fast done for another year! Maybe it's my age but it definitely gets easier each year, it's the thirst that gets me! Tomorrow my big excitement is aa new car , it's not going to be quite as Watford, not sure if that's good or bad but it's quite normal looking. Amazing how technology moves on, now I get a phone with my car that I can link up to it and see all that's going on with the car through my phone and vice versa, bonkers! Very exciting though, I do love getting new cars, and I love the smell! Lol Have a fab day all
Hello all from a cloudy St. Helier - my last day of holiday from work and most of it has been ruined by a cold.
