Some of what's happened recently here has been regrettable but does not need to be rehashed again. I personally don't think there needs to be changes to the format of the forum but real arguments, not banter or debate, needs to be confined to pm's in my opinion. We may have lost some valuable people from the forum, I sincerely hope not. It could be a dull place without them. Hopefully, given time, our recent departures will return. I don't like the idea of posters leaving or being banned, I never have. The ignore button works fine in emergencies. This place is a nice distraction at times when results aren't going our way or maybe stress at work or whatever. Some of us have had the craic at meet ups thanks to this place and gone to serious lengths to get to games we may not have otherwise been to. I've tried other Leeds forums and for the most part they are crap with waccoe being the worst. I wouldn't want to meet many of that lot. I enjoy this spot usually. My suggestion is can we make a fresh start today and hopefully our old shipmates will come back on board.
Haven't caught up with the latest developments I have to say, but the constant feuding was becoming tiresome and was one of the reasons I infrequently visit here nowadays.
Really well put Eire, I echo your sentiments regarding your thoughts about losing people. I sincerely hope they'll be back soon. Where possible, we (mods) try and let the board run itself. We don't want to step in unless we have to. Variety is the spice of life, and I really hope we can get back to how things were a few weeks ago, and cut out the niggles. MOT
Putting it into perspective Eire, there was only feuding going on between two people(as I saw it). Others just joined in.
The thing is Elland, when posters got wound up and I'm speaking generally, they would be told it's only fishing or banter by the person doing the baiting.
True shaks. It just seemed to appear all over the shop. Seems to have settled now. Itll be up to the various individuals who have opted out to decide if they want to be part of this online community or not
It wpuld appear I am the culprit which I totally dis agree with I never swear yet I am sworn at a great deal an nothing is said I write was I think is an honest look on how the team is doing yet get dogs abuse for it .
Mike. I always like to read your comments on football matters. You have a wide knowledge of Leeds related matters and are obviously a committed ACTIVE Leeds United fan of many many years. Some may disagree with your comments and views on potential players etc but after all it is a personal view. Things have deteriorated over the past months between various posters on Not606 and has become personal and not very welcome to the majority of visitors to the site. It has been suggested that those in conflict simply use the ignore button but in reality all that is needed is for everyone to stick to football related topics. Enjoy some banter between fans but keep it within decent bounds. I look forward to continue reading the threads on Not606 from all Leeds United fans and their Millwall admirers.
Personally I'm never really sure what all the fuss is about sometimes. There were one or two leeds contributors that were booted off in the past I seem to remember for having different opinions to the core posters - not sure I agreed with that at the time. The latest 'dramas' just got boring but quite honestly I'm amazed that mods and supermods had to get involved - storm in a tea-cup sort of thing. I think the ignore button is the best advice otherwise these things will go on and on. Leeds 60 - I don't think there is a culprit, just move on now. I like reading your posts as i do with most people on here. The only ones who should get the ban are those that used to come on and rile everyone up with nasty comments on Istanbul etc. And the post on Elland and his contributions over the years was well placed. All Leeds Aren't We?
Good points made, but if the two main protagonists did use the ignore button, they'd end up just arguing with themselves...........wa hey
SoppyBollox award for Eire Banter is good and barracking can become tiresome, but I never let it get to me as I just scroll past some of the posts made by culprits and get to the next post, however there are times when you can't help but read something and end up spitting coffee all over my key board, because some of the dry humour is brilliant, and I know some of it wasn't meant to be funny but fook me I can laugh and then feel for the guy on the receiving end. Some of it can get out of hand though.
