I thoroughly enjoy the game, we rode our luck in the first half, but also created some chance ourselves one of which was converted. Second half even though we defended deep, they didn't really threated us. Impressed with Davies who was excellent, Maguire, Hayden, Meyler and Livermore were very good, and Maloney looks a great signing. Elmo look more like himself tonight also.

I reckon Taylor has a photo of Bruce with his willy in a Pig stashed away somewhere, that can be the only explanation for his contract, he doesn't even looks like he cares either

David Meyler deserves a mention. Superb display. Make no mistake, Swansea wanted that tonight. Don't agree with the 'could have been 7-0 down after 20 minutes'. We also had two good chances, Meylers thunderbolt which the keeper fumbled away for a corner and Akomb's one on one with the keeper when the ball bounced back just too high for Livermore. On another day it would have hit him on the knee and bounced straight back into the net. Great win against a good Premiership team. Curtis Davies best game for two seasons.

I feel sorry for Taylor. How did he get so **** so suddenly? I thought he was a good signing at the time and I don't remember many on here disagreeing.

Weird game that. Dont know what to make of it. Really rode our luck only sparked into life when the clown in goal did his thing. Then fell asleep again. Then scored a goal out of nothing.
Davies played really well, left foot like a shovel at times though.
Big H is a bit too industrial at times but throwing Gomis? to the ground was great.
Robertson was hard working and **** crossing- same as.
Taylor. Very sad he's gone. Awful passes first half and all over the shop second half, rightly taken off.
Elmo is still muted won a lot of headers and worked hard.
Hayden did ok some good challenges.
Meyler worked his nuts off and took the goal well i thought he'd missed it was weird.
Jake lots of work and the usual refusal to shoot when presented with a great opportunity on the edge of the box.
Maloney looks when he gets on the ball some good deliveries from crosses n corners, Free kick was good too.
Akpom. Lot of running but too weak when trying to hold the ball up. Carlton ****ing Cole please.

A number of times in the second half we had the chance to break from CM but refuse to do it and cut back a few times into real trouble. So ****ing annoying.

    Good win that!!
We could have scored 3 or 4 tonight.
No denying that Swansea where the better team and missed half a dozen good chances but we looked a bit more cohesive in the 2nd half

<laugh> No we couldn't. We barely troubled their keeper at all. We were lucky we didn't get rolled over tonight.

We had the Jak in goal, yet we didn't concede. That suggests they troubled our keeper less than we troubled theirs.

Who needs an opposition when we have Jak in goal to trouble himself?

It's a toss up between old jitterbug and dropsy. Our goalkeeping situation might well yet cost the club a quick return to the Prem. No money at this level, nothing to see, move along please.

    ****off Allam.

Smash and grab, smash and grab, smash and grab, smash and grab, smash and grab, smash and grab... ad lib to fade...

Quite enjoyed that really, even if I still can't quite believe we won.

I think Swansea are one of the best teams to watch in the PL. I really admire the job done over the years, managers have come and gone as have some of the players - but the style of football remains. Seldom have they looked like getting relegated from the PL. In our 4 seasons in the PL we've had 2 relegations and 2 seasons narrowly avoiding it. Swansea is the model to follow.

McGregor is a good goalkeeper. This season he's made one mistake against Wolves. Davies was worse than McGregor last season and they have both come back a lot better.

I think you will find that Swansea have spent a lot more on wages than we have. I know some clubs pay more in wages and mess up but we need to pay more in wages to give us a chance of survival if we get back into the Premier League. I think we were paying the lowest wages in the Premier League in 2013-2014 - that's a big disadvantage. Burnley may have paid less last season. Some clubs can get promoted and do well in the short term but it's not sustainable in the medium term.

The way to have got a quick return to the Premier League would be to have spent money getting Charlie Austin. He would have come if the wages were right. A transfer fee of £15m is good value. The way we are doing it now is to be careful with the money - but we have to accept that promotion is a lot less likely than with having a recognised good striker.

Wages weren't a factor in our relegation, there's very little difference between the wage bills of most of the clubs in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Completely meaningless in our case, as the numbers are taken from accounts that are completely out of date.

They are the latest accounts issued. We may have a few players on more which would increase the average wage but I don't think it will show a great difference. Anyway, you don't just sign some players and they immediately gel, it's more a long term thing. Our wages policy is still too low to make us a mid table side like Swansea, etc.
