That's a long stretch Hart has 54 appearances, Seamen 74. hart will pass that in 2 years hitting the best years of a keeper at around 30 years of age. He'll surely at least reach 2nd most capped overall for sure Shilton's 125 caps is something else
VDS rarely dropped a clanger. I can recall an absolute beauty, I think against West Brom, when he dropped a simple cross and they scored but such ****wittery was very unusual. Schmeichel was more likely to make a howler than VDS. Consistency is what made VDS such a great keeper. Out of today's top PL keepers Courtois is the King of the Clangers.
Spot on with all of that but those you've listed still inspired confidence in their defence. Hart just acts a charlie big bollox but doesnt impress his defence imo. I said this on another thread - the Pirlo penalty incident sums up Hart perfectly. Thought he was better than he was trying to match himself against great players with his ego...only to get schooled and put in his place. A great analogy of him in general.
Robinson is 8th in appearances and not likely to make any more, Hart is 5th, will pass Seamen by end of 2016ish
Tbh I barely remember Robinson except for that one thing.... Whatever that was.... Bilic had something to do with it, and Nev.....
Bullshit! Messi is extraordinary, granted, but there is a matter of Suarez and Neymar. And their defense is miles more solid than yours. Face it, your defense is crap!
Take Messi out of Barcelona and you dont have anywhere near the same team. Suarez and Neymar are nothing more than pretenders. Neither can or would carry Barcelona like Messi has with his two Spanish pals. But the point is, Ddg is part of our team just as Messi is there's. We picked up 7 points without de gea too, Romero making a fee good stops along the way. He also made some errors. It happens, to every player. As much as we all like to joke, there's no such thing as a one man team. There are no man teams but we call them Liverpool.
It's certainly weaker without Shaw. Spurs had 90 minutes to tear apart United's defence while Romero was in goal. How did they get on? We've had the best defensive record in the league since last November. Either the defence isn't quite as bad as you think or DDG and Romero are simply superhuman.
Our attack, until Son was introduced was toothless. Even then we almost got the equalizer. Like it or not, your defense is your Achilles heel. Talking of Barca, imagine what Messi and co. Would do to Smalling and the rest!
Sorry, but bollocks again. Both Suarez & Neymar are world class strikers, and would walk into any team. Messi is just on another planet from every other footballer who ever lived. DeGea saved your arses on Sunday, he'll most likely have to do it again unless your defense is seriously strengthened.
Neymar is meh, Suarez is very good. None come close to Messi and non possess the consistency nor ability to do what he's done. Without Messi, Barcelona win nowhere near what they have won. So if De Gea is saving our Bacon, Messi been saving Barcelonas for years...
Barca give most defences a tough time. Smalling has been excellent all year. A big part of why we've had the best defence in the league since last November. He could do with a bona fide centre half alongside him. If Son is your saviour then you really are ****ed!
I agree that Messi is extraordinary. I disagree with your assessment of Neymar, he's a great player, IMO. Barca have not needed Messi to 'save their bacon' they have had a few other 'average' players, such as Xavi, Iniesta, Etc. DeGea would feel like Davy Crockett with those three coming at him, and your defense in front of him.
So basically your whole argument for United having a dodgy defence is based on the belief that they'd struggle against Barcelona. That's ****ing visionary stuff right there.
