Hart is decent he just doesn't seem capable of pulling of the wonder saves that the others do.

Cech is deff still up there.

If Hart played for Spurs he'd be rated no better than Paul Robinson. Definitey a case of the tail wagging the dog with him.

Whatever happens, his talent will never match his ego.

Harsh. He's a far better 'keeper than Robinson ever was. No goals conceded before the West Ham game means he must have something about him and he's never let England down unless I'm mistaken. City have the money to buy all but one or two goalkeepers in the world and they've stuck with him.

I used Spurs as the example. Put him behind their defence and he'd be decent but not great. Lloris IS great for that reason. Arguably De Gea built his reputation under similar circumstances (in this country). Hart thinks he's better than he is, but rarely proves it.

    He saved?

He's part of our team, he did what he's paid for.

Its like me claiming Messi saves Barcelona every week. Otherwise they would be relegated....

Agreed, some people seem to think that a quality keeper making saves is somehow an unfair advantage. Surely he was signed to stop that small round thing going into the big oblong thing as often as possible!

They don't get as worked up when a top class centre half protects the keeper or a top class DM (Matic) protects a dodgy defence (Chelsea, any combination).

Hart is 2nd in that list surely, he also makes mistakes but all round over a season hart is an excellent keeper, folk just remember his mistakes, not the best PL keeper but England's best in a while. When's the last time a keeper played as many consecutive games for England?

Part of that is due to a lack of competition though, to be fair.
Hart's a good keeper but he has poor games too often to rank up there with the best.
He flaps at crosses and comes for things that he's got no chance of getting anywhere near when he's at his worst.

Does anyone think that there's anyone pushing him for his place, though?
I wouldn't have thought that it's under threat with either City or England.

I dunno. Robinson didn't he go in and out after getting slaughtered by the press and pundits for making mistakes?

Was Seamen treacle feet actually no1 for his time as keeper or?

Just wondering what's the stats on England keepers

Seaman was easily a better keeper to Hart.

    Reina? The guy he replaced?

Ming is not a bad keeper, the thing in front of him is the problem, the thing pretending to be a defence ;)

Weird that comparison, Hart has not even had a half career yet. <whistle>

Who had most clean sheets last season <whistle> And I think the same keeper has most so far this season?

Seaman made 15 years of consecutive appearances for England, apparently.
No wonder the old ****er was senile at the end and flapping at every long shot.

Hart plays behind a good defence... and one which has improved this season. But here's the thing Sisu, what's telling about Hart is that when the defence fails so does he.

Seamen was quality. I don't know if I am spelling his name right mind.

He was number one for quite some time. He was also far better than Hart and was concerned about the football, not himself.

Hart makes mistakes, but so does Cech, he had most clean sheets 2013\14, a record with 16.
Remember vDS? Great keeper, made howlers.

    Curtois.. makes howlers.

De Dea has a low rate of howlers compared to other keepers that's why he is better. But everyone has a patch, De Gea will hit one jsut like every other keeper eventually
