WOW Byrams a RB well spotted that man, He didnt play crap last season playing out of position did he so that blows your logic right out of the water. Byram despite all the hype has never progressed since he broke through into the first team. Berardi has been one of our better players this season and deserves his place in the team. Rosler knows that as well, so Byram will have to wait for his chance or his transfer. I'll bow to your Knowledge on Bianchi leaving, you obviously have inside knowledge of our transfer dealings :emoticon-0148-yes: <doh>

A football question for you team!!! Does anyone know if a tribunal would be influenced in their valuation of Byram (assuming he doesn't sign a new contract and leaves in the summer) by the new contract we have offered him? There is logic to say, if we have offered him a rubbish contract, we can't value him that highly so why would a tribunal??

Personally, I would ban all the banter from the Good morning and match day threads, everything else fine, that is just a personal opinion, it doesn't bother me enough that I would want to leave.

95% of the Millwall lads posts are wind-ups and banter, I tend to ignore most of what they write and I must admit, when I first joined I didn't understand at first why they were residents here but once you are used to it then everything is fine.

I check the good morning thread several times through the day, other threads like the Caption Competition ones, Shaks Jukebox, anything relating to SBA awards I might look in once in a while, I usually just mark them as read and ignore.

A big however... Unless I am missing something or someone else has dropped the mods a line the problem wasn't with the banter was it?

Thankfully I partake in neither. Couple of drinks a month maybe but not enough to cause a haze

I personally think we're missing the point here. For me, banter is welcome in all threads, but there is a line which shouldn't be crossed. Over the years, many of us have come close to that line, and some have often crossed it. I include myself in this, btw. Whilst I may not have been the worst, I recognise now that I have been out of control at times. I could claim that it was the depression that I was suffering at the time, but that may only have been true some of the time. As our old chum Marco described it, I (and he!) suffered from 'anger management issues'. Fair cop. Can't argue. Hopefully I've managed my own output better now, but will always get misunderstood at times without body language or facial expression being present.

BUT, there have been a number of occasions recently where even my worst excesses have been horribly exceeded. There have been threats, name-calling, and just downright nastiness that none of us come on here to read. It's just not enjoyable to read, and isn't restricted to an occasional post or retort. Unfortunately, it has spread into almost every thread (well it seems like it at times), and often goes on at length within some heads, and I'm afraid the Mods must take a good look at themselves for this. We've lost Rev & I suspect Billy. Hemase is on the verge. How many lurkers have been scared off? This can't go on. Now I can appreciate that this situation might be awkward for the Mods, and if this is the case, can I ask you to consider bringing in an independent Mod to review & monitor the situation, and take appropriate action if required?

How many more posters do we need to lose?

WJ - Rev clearly gave the reason for his departure on his last post, hemase replied to that final post, it was nothing to do with banter.

If you, others or many believe/feel the banter goes to far then fine, if you suspect it prevents lurkers from posting I can see the reasoning and again fine but let's not blame Rev leaving and hemase feeling on the verge of doing so as being down to the "banter".

Did I say I had knowledge of Bianchi's dealings and but you point out he is injured I do realize that but he can't be high up on Roslers list of midfielders when we have Mowatt, Cook, Philips and Adeyemi in the team.

The reason he's playing rubbish is because he is a RB and he is uncomfortable in the RM position he's admitted it himself. TBH when you've got the players we had last season e.g Adryan and Nicky Ajose half of this board would look like good players

Can't say I agree to be honest, most traveling fans have spent probably 4 or 5 times the amount getting to the same game as home fans, now if you invest a lot more into something you're not usually as quick to write it off, example if you paid £20 for a car and it turned out to be crap, you would just dump at the wreckers and forget about it,now if you paid £5,000 for a used car and it was crap you would try and work out the problem and solve it rather than just disgaurd(invest more care more)And as for the madman, must say I'm over the moon with him TBH,done much more for the team and club than I expected.Do think some just have too high expectations, maybe the success of the rugby team has a negative effect on local fans

All people are different and like different things, what annoys 1 is loved by another, young people often get grumpy with old people who have different values etc and vice versa, the site is what it is,like it or hate it.ja606 is right for some and not606 is right for others, theres no one site fits all.

As more of a lurjer (sic) than regular poster, here is my take. I used to read this and JA all the time, originally for as many updates as possible on my beloved Leeds United (match reports, transfer gossip etc). Living in Suffolk, running my own business and having a young family make it impossible to be as close to the club as I would dearly love to be. I was tempted to join and post on both for many a year before taking the plunge on here. I can say, making a direct comparison between the two, this site is much better for several reasons, keeping a day's discussions to one thread in the main rather than 5 articles about the same thing as people try to outdo each other being one and the other huge advantage was this just felt better, more friendly, more banter and genuine good humour. If I may name drop a few, Shaks, OLOF, Chippy etc had the ability to make me laugh out loud at work because it is/was all genuinely good natured. I am long enough in the tooth not to be offended by the C word or anything else if you can see it is give and take and meant in fun. Also, JA had built up a collective of know it all's who would gang up on people with a different opinion to theirs and it just smacked of bullying and a bit of a sheep mentality. Surely, impassioned argument and personal opinions are what a forum should be all about?

My worst indiscretion since being on here is probably calling LL a tool. This was purely because his constant negativity towards several Leeds players, especially home grown young ones, goes totally against the grain for me. However, I don't know the guy and certainly have nothing against him personally (can see that he is very fair too in many ways) and would have a beer with him anytime.

However, if you compare that with what seems to have crept in more and more with use of the C word in a more sinister context, use of phrases like "the Anti Christ" and "HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR" etc are dragging this site down. I haven't the time nor inclination to be sniping and constantly reading if anybody else is so, to answer your original question, yes I think many "lurjers" may be put off because, as others have said, it does seem to now be on almost all posts and is becoming tiresome.

Happy to take it on the chin and walk away if some of the more "senior" posters think a newer poster like me should not have an opinion on this but surely that would just make things worse?

Finally, earlier, I deliberately asked a football related question that I do not know the answer to and am interested but it seems to have been bypassed completely because the topic of the day is forum behaviour - perhaps that is the saddest indication of all that things are not as they should be!

Come on guys, a bit of shaking our own heads and taking a few breaths and starting again would be a good thing - this needs to stay better than JA because I have nailed my colours to this mast (and will never have dialogue with the likes of Jonty for as long as I have a hole)

    Here's a thought.....

What's happened to Gary Cooper he used to post on here a fair bit but since he gave up leadership of LUST, he's been rather quiet
