Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Wednesday's Capital One Cup third-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur:
    on the team news…

Francis Coquelin will be out and we have no major problems for anybody else. It should be a similar squad.

    on Coquelin…
His knee is swollen and he is being assessed but we hope it is just a short-term problem

    on Per Mertesacker
He is available for selection, yes.

    on if youngsters could feature…
Alex Iwobi. I want to keep the squad together. We go game by game so I will make changes, for sure. How many? I’ve not decided yet. It will be quite an experienced squad with one or two younger players.

    on Iwobi…
He is in and out a little bit because we travel a lot. He is

Well at least we don't have to worry about Costa assaulting our players this game - we just have to worry about Kane's last minute winners instead...

Be interesting to see if a back four including Chambers, Debuchy and Gibbs can be trusted after previous calamities...

Think BFG should be fine for this. Heard Coq should be fit for this, if not then Leicester for sure.
    Ospina
    Debuchy BFG/Chambers Kos Gibbs
    Arteta/Chambers/Coq Ramsey
    Ozil
    Campbell Giroud Ox

If Coq's fit, I'd play him and Ramsey in the middle. I'd start Monreal instead of Gibbs. I'd play Ox, Giroud and Theo

I suppose at least Ramsey will play in his best position (so he'd better pull his finger out!!!), but what a mess out team looks at the minute between suspensions, injuries and form!

I would start the Jeff actually on the left and Ox on the right. Give Theo a breather

Jeff is injured. Campbell and Ox should start on the wings IMO

Just become a huge game after the two defeats last week. We can't lose 3 in a row, that would be a nightmare, especially to the spuds.

I'd rather stick my prick in a dead pig's mouth than Arsenal lose to the Spuds

That's a very lightweight midfield with Bielik and Arteta in it! I'd imagine more 1st teamers will be in there considering our poor run of form and how poorly we've performed when players like Chambers, Gibbs, and Debuchy have come in.

I'd be very surprised if Bielik plays tbh!

Bielik won't be involved. Is The Jeff really injured?

Doubt Coq will play after getting injured against Chelsea. Maybe Ramsey will come in. But Wenger's always about the yougnsters, so this is a cup, and it's a chance to give the youngster a chance to show what he's got.

Heck even when you mention first teamers, it's not like we have many options, Cazorla out suspended, and then we only have Ramsey and Coq as options with Coq having come off injured against Chelski so he's not really an option.....There is Flamini, but I'd much prefer giving a youngster a chance over Flamini.

Coq is confirmed out. So maybe Ramsey can play, but I'd prefer to play the youngster.

I agree that Coq would have been rested anyway even if he wasn't injured - he should be wrapped up in cotton wool, but I think a midfield of Ramsey and Arteta is more likely than Arteta and Bielik/Flamini, especially against the spuds.

I have to say though, I didn't realise quite how threadbare our squad was until you started listing them! Crazy to think that between injury and suspension we have Santi, Coq, Rosicky, Wilshere, Welbeck, Gabriel & Adelaide all out, and that's not even a long injury list for us!
