He may make the odd mistake (which keeper doesn't?) but DDG is a ridiculously good keeper and by far the best in the PL. Great stroke of fortune for United to have him for one more season. His save from Fonte's header today was ludicrous. The Chavs will always back their own player but it's a joke to suggest that Calamity Courtois is currently in the same class as DDG.

Disclaimer: this post will be sought out as soon as DDG makes a mistake. Please can I direct the seeker to the first 9 words of the post. Thank you.

I didn't suggest Courtois is in the same class. DDG is way out in front. But the other three are in the next bracket.

Wasn't referring to you fella, more the Chavs who have been insisting that the walking mistake that is Courtois is currently in DDG's class. I wouldn't put Courtois in the top 3 keepers in the PL today, in fact I think his current "understudy" is still a more reliable keeper. No doubt Calamity will be top class in a couple of years but he's still a way off that at the minute.

Bizarrely your fellow Hammer Little Ern doesn't rate DDG. Very odd that.

According to some, he wasn't going to try very hard this season. Oh dear <whistle>

Top keeper imo is Lloris, followed by De Gea (these 2 are the best by some distance). Followed by Hart/Courtois/Adrian/Begovic who are all decent keepers. Butland is looking very good this year too.

Yep, was actually an oversight based on my deep rooted anti Arsenal bias. Once he was the best, now I would put him alongside Hart.

Lloris better than Dea Gea? Would have Lloris comfortably in second. Fairer to let the neutrals decide tho I guess.

Absolutely. I agree I'm looking with biased eyes, but also I see more of him than the neutral and he makes saves that look impossible. Rarely do we have a match where he hasn't pulled off a wonder save. De Gea does something similar I concede.

De Gea number one for me followed by Lloris. Cech seems to have aged but it's early days at Arsenal.

I think Hart is up there too now though I feel he was a bit overrated earlier in his career.

Yeah fair enough, I did want us to try and steal him from you if we lost De Gea. He is a quality keeper.

If and when DDG goes I'd be happy with Lloris as his replacement.
