On an unrelated topic, absolutely ridiculous that the U21s don't have more regular games. Certainly encourages loaning out the better prospects than trying to develop them in-house.
This looks a better team than the previous one mentioned, this one actually might have half a chance to get something. Still don't fancy Jak in goal, but if he's going to get a chance, it may as well be in this cup, I still can't believe that SB gave him a new contract.
After the last game SB said they'd played more games already than last season. The U21's or whatever they're called these days, are playing against better opposition than last season & more regularly!
Not regularly enough though, I think there's something like 12 teams in the league so they have a significantly smaller number of games than the Seniors.
Jake Livermore WILL return for Hull City against Swansea City... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Jake...tory-27840425-detail/story.html#ixzz3mSCrWKWr
We really should play Jak in goal. Mcgegor's **** anyway and we need to show him that there is at least a glimmer of competition for him.
Stage is set for Livermore tonight, imagine the scenes if he scores... is 9/1 anytime scorer too got to be worth a quid that!
He'll be buzzing when he crosses that white line, sniffing out chances & hopefully hitting the back of the net! Sorry, just had to!
So long as he doesn't celebrate like Robbie Fowler too.. had a bet on him to score at 9-1 anytime, Elmo decent odds and Taylor actually
Agreed, however the Fowler celebration was class. I am still thinking that Jake will start the game and why not ? Adrenaline will kick in tonight.
Nobody really likes Jak in goal, but he's not really done anything to warrant being dropped from the cup squad and frankly if he doesn't play now he probably won't play again for us. Suppose we could call in Watson, but it's a lot to ask of a young lad to step in against PL opposition for his debut when he's only had a bit of first team training.
