First go in handicaps, looks an improver and off a fair mark. Should go very close anyway.

Line of reason - 3.00 Beverley can still get 11/8 but only at WH - absolute good thing

Creepy Warwick 4.40. Has won first time out the last 3 years and should do again tomorrow.

Am also on CREEPY - 2/1 but shortening the whole time altho he needs further the opposition tomorrow should not worry him over this trip and has a great record 1st time out he should be able to re capture some of last years early form and leave that bad end of season form behind

He had a slot In 410 over 25.5f but they must see this as the safer option wooly

Good to see CREEPY out again, was impressive first time out last year I recall with some super accurate jumping. Seems I've missed the price on him but hope he wins for the forum. Interesting there running him over the shorter trip but as YouSee says perhaps this is the easier option.

I am going for a bit of a speculative value EW tomorrow

    Lingfield
    5.20 Clarentine 16-1 EW

This horse put in a very good effort at Kempton 2 runs back yet showed nothing of note switched to turf on it's last run. Back on the all weather today I feel this horse could have her best days ahead of her still. Interestingly she is dropped in distance again, now I feel her trip is 10f on the all weather but If the trainer feels a mile may help her I think it's worth a shot. Essentially my bet is because the price is too big on that Kempton run and you do not need much on to show a good return at 16's.

Certainly the most easier option too!! But it is quite a bit shorter this race good to see him out so early

Times to distance creepy is quicker than Belmont, I would say they are going to try to get him in easy and push for better during the season this time

He certainly started out impressive last year, he looked like he could take tall order in the 3mile division but after that race he barely jumped a twig - hopefully they have ironed out whatever issues he had and could have a nice handicap mark to exploit now.

Off Topic - but a cracking bet in the football tonight in my eyes. Swansea at 6/4 away at Hull City. Hull City's 4th game in 11 days including long trips to Brighton and Cardiff. Steve Bruce will make changes tonight, possibly even 11 to keep players fresh for the assault on promotion. Ideal opportunity for Swansea to go far in this tournament and even if they make changes they should still be too strong for a weakened Hull side

As a Saints fan same applies to our game at MK Dons. 5/6 is a big price in a game that Robinson is on record as sayiong he doesnt care about.

Morning, troops. Woeful racing today and for that reason I’m waving the ‘no bet’ banner. Although as they say round my way, ‘the 5/1 winner of a bad race pays the same as a 5/1 winner of a good, I say good, ‘un’.

While I’m on can I have my usual moan. Why are the media insisting that Robert Thornton has ‘retired’?!? He bally well ain’t as indeed no NH saddle monkey ever does. They simply change careers / get another job in the industry / retrain / register down the ‘labour exchange’ (delete as appropriate). No different to what everyone else in the land does when they leave a position. I really do think people need to look in the old dictionary and learn what the word ‘retirement’ actually means! Even more fitting in this case as he’s already got a new job as a ‘racing manager’.

    Good luck, pilgrims.
