I've posted it on my friend's Sunderland forum, someone will make sure it gets to a Toon forum somewhere!
I've seen a lot of this lad on my friend's Sunderland forum. He is very entertaining, I'm hoping they win a game sometime so I can see how he deals with that!
Steve Claridge has just been very complimentary about us on Five Live - adventurous, courageous and really enjoyable to watch. He was worried about us but we're proving him wrong.
He's quality and normally talks sense. Really funny even if it's not your team just beaten the Geordies! Worth a watch most weeks. He hated Carver so even to say bring him back as a joke must mean he's mightily p****d off!
An interesting article. http://thespectatorsview.com/2015/0...s-pygmies-are-king-the-away-fan-perspective/?
To give the Newcastle fans credit post match they seemed to accept we were the better side and deserved to win. But its true some probably demand/expect so much. I guess they do expect some sort of quality and ability attacking wise - even without the success the Geordies have been entertained over the years/decades with Keegan and Robson. What they really wish for is an Alan Shearer.
I have seen it quoted that have spent 50m this summer , So I can understand a guy on min wage expecting more from them
A few words on last Sat. Given newcastle's current situation, I'd be worried if we hadn't won. They have poor form, poor confidence, an ill-balanced squad, and a manager not renowned for motivational skills. The only thing they have got is a 55000 crowd. So I think the euphoria is a bit OTT. That said I was delighted with the steady progress we are making and welcome all points, however gained. What seems good is we a remaking it hard for other teams, man C excepted, and that will be very useful in months ahead. The Swansea result is probably the most significant so far, so I am very happy, but not euphoric!
