I like listening to Humberside if I can't watch the game. Burnsy gets excited when the play is good and goals are scored, they do banter and chat a bit but who can blame them with the slow pace of the games sometimes. It's like listening to a couple of old friends, I like the familiarity.

I enjoy Burnsy and Swanny because they don't take it too seriously. They're like two blokes who go to football, have a pie and a pint and enjoy the match. MoTD and, even more so, Sky take it far too seriously for me. After all it is a GAME of football. I've met Burnsy a few times and he's a really nice bloke who loves his football and has taken to Hull City.

Would it be ridiculous if someone expressed an opinion of Burns and Swan, but had not heard them first hand (or ear) but purely based on comments from people that had listened in?

If it is ridiculous, how come people can comment on the game having only listened in?

There is a guy call Geoff/Jeff who calls in the RH quite often just after games, makes his comments how well or badly we played, and when asked if he was at the game, said no I listened to it on the radio.

They do seem quite selective with who they let through. Sometimes it's as well to have a different point ready to the one you really want to make.

I've been on it, just via email though. Thankfully am at the match tonight in person, I wish I could do my own commentary for people on here so they can see what they are missing out on. Should be a decent radio station in Wales covering the game I reckon anyway tonight. I will listen to Blunderside on my walk home down Anlaby Road tonight, no doubt we will beat the Prem team and the majority of callers will complain regardless

I have done that. They get wise. Myself and another poster on here used to have fun with the HDM and RH in Dave Gibbins days under different guises. Not as easy to do now.Once had Matt Dean bouncing up and down like a petulant kid after pointing out some of his shortcomings and lack of knowledge on the subjects he was supposed to be covering.

To be fair to Mike White I e-mailed in when Gollum was spoiling the show and rarelyused to get my e-mails read out., but they were when others were in charge. Mike White on a few occasions took the trouble to e-mail me and give his opinion on what I had written and mentioned some of the points I had made on later programmes.
