Judge him after 3 seasons, he said.

Are you suggesting women can't operate without a man inside them? :bandit:

Nobody operates well when some niggly thing is irritating them.

Agree that Gordon calling those shots is absurd.

We are never going to buy world class players - we never have done even when we had CL football. We buy players who are very good with potential to become world class.

What we needed to do was be smart and buy either quality youngsters or fringe players at bigger clubs. A spine of Sakho, Can, Coutinho, Sturridge with talented support players like Moreno, Henderson, Firmino, Clyne and excellent youngsters like Ibe, Ilori and Markovic is good enough for top 4 in this league. Personally, we're only a RCB and DM away from cementing a top 4 place (in terms of personnel/squad).

We have assembled a decent squad but we have a manager who simply does not have a clue. Players are regressing.

I genuinely disagree. Not with that Rodgers doesn't appear to be up to the job but that him alone going will solve the problems.

I think our club oozes the belief that it's not quite good enough. Look at the managers that have come and gone. Look at the great players that have done the same.

Our current owners have built it into their philosophy. They can call it self sufficiency, they can say it's doing things smarter but it always saying we can not compete, not really. And the big players know it and always choose elsewhere.

As for finding talent. **** even that seems to be going out of our price range. Players we've only half developed think they are too big for us. European clubs expect multi millions for even a prospect.

The owners placate us with top four as a consistent target but they no longer believe it.

Players coming in even local ones have to watch videos to tell them how big our club was. They mouth the words but then play and you can see they dont really believe they can do it here and now.

Neither do we as fans. We talk a good game but I don't know a year that's past in the last 20 where i didn't wait for it to go wrong. Even 2 years ago we waited just knowing deep down that somehow we would **** it up. There's always half the fan base who don't believe in each new manager and wait for the confirmation.

I hope you are right. I hope it is only a manager change away but I'm willing to bet we'll be having the same conversation in three years time.
