I've stuck a poll up to see how confident (or not) we all are.

The last cup game went well. I reckon this will as well.

Maybe with the club taking the cups seriously, they've forgotten all about the league?

So if Mitrovic sits this one out does that count as his 3 match suspension served? Would be nice if he is back against Chelsea then it can be billed as The battle of the Bxstxrd Centre Forwards.

We will go on a good cup run ultimately lose a final and get relegated.

Yes, he is back for Chelsea. On this game, we'll win. I think we've hit something like rock bottom and we'll now start to improve. I think McLaren probably threw down a "last chance" to Cisse - hauling him off at half time said it all to me. Probably a few others who are rocking, not least Colo. At this moment in time, I'd rather Willo played than the clown.

Be good to see some players who are still playing for something other than a move away. Hope Lascelles plays and does it well, would be nice to see Saylor or Dummett back and to watch Perez, Aarons, SDJ and Thauvin try and get some confidence.

It's a good chance to really try a more dynamic formation - I'm hoping McLaren doesn't pussy out of this one by aiming for 2 DM's in fear of getting beat. We need to get some kind of fearlessness in the team; we're not helped by a fickle crowd, mind.

I see that Draw is up on the poll, however can we draw this? does it not go extra time and pens?

Thats probably why nobody has voted for it. Give Albert thr benefit of the doubt and assume he was checking who knew the rules.

    It's just me being lazy.
I was tempted to put the QPR head to head up though.

Interesting comment from another forum - given Tiote's more or less checked out, Anita's not a DM and Colback's barely a footballer, how about we try Coloccini as DM? He's not in the same league skill wise, but he has more of a Makelele/Cambiasso feel and he can pick a pass? Why not go for a pretty attack minded 4-3-3 and see what that's like?

He played there for a couple of games a few seasons back with limited success if I remember correctly. Not sure it's the answer to our DCM problems, but Colo is definitely not the answer to our CB problems. I suppose we could play him in midfield in this game and see how it goes, but I'm fairly sure he'll be left out all together.

we need this game to try and instill some sort of confidence, so nothing crazy just changes that make sense, anything else could just lead to more accusations of mcclaren being lost and clueless . Toney in for cisse id be happy with, as cisse has been acting a complete **** for a bit now, colback at LB is worth trying..losing patience with haidara and glad i hedged my bets in predicting we would be ok at LB as one of haid/dummett could step in and perform as long as we looked a better unit than last season, only need dummett to prove me an incompetent now (dummett is solid <whistle>). Aarons surely has to start.

    something like this

if no toney (which is likely tbh) then ayoze up top. thauvin or sissoko in, and balls to resting people for chelsea they are just going to have to deal with it

also id have tiote in but theres definitely something not right there, whether those recent rumours are to be believed or not.

Its already here mate. Apparently we are taking cup competitions very seriously now so we are looking at the treble this year (league cup, FA Cup and relegation).
