The only midfielder who might provide us with width is Alli, who gets wide from time to time. I would much rather at least have had Rose, and preferably Trippier, with those forwards. It’s an interesting lineup in terms of who may deserve a starting place, but seems set up just wrong for Crystal Palace. Everyone will tend to press forward in the center and leave us wide open to getting countered on the wings. I’ll just have to hope Pochettino has a plan, or knows something I don’t.

Also, as I’ve said, I’d start Winks for this one. I would have started him last game. He didn’t start, and Dier ended up looking tired and injured. The risk of Winks not being able to handle this game are less than the risk Dier gets hurt, considering Dier already looked burned out enough he didn’t look like himself last game.

    COYS!

  2. Reason enough not to have Rose anywhere near this one....... Davies is limited, but at least offers some defensive capability.

I agree....problem with that is if Alli does drift wide, Dier will be isolated in the middle. Could be very dangerous. Lamela has to have an absolute blinder TODAY for this to work. Hopefully Kane with added Son means we'll have more chances and convert more too.

I'll be very impressed if we keep a clean sheet with this line up.

Could be an golf-fest like tottenham days of old. I've been impressed with Crystal Palace this season. They're very capable of scoring against us. Hopefully we'll score more than them.

Eriksen'll likely be replacing him in the second half though.

If they have Lamela/Son/Chadli switching around on the attack it could work out - but something tells me what's more likely to happen is Chadli goes missing for long stretches while Lamela tries too hard and messes things up left and right.

Can not see us keeping a clean sheet so we will need to score twice which we have only done once in the league this season

I can guarantee the papers have already got half of their match report written already - which can be summed up by this screen grab

Lamela given a chance in what should ('should') be his strongest position. He HAS to make a big statement today.

Also, oddly, despite not having any strikers on the bench, it still looks extremely dangerous should we find ourselves chasing the game...which we usually are.

Bolasie, puncheon and zaha have so much pace and trickery...they could cause our defence so many problems but i think Son, Kane and Chadli could do the same for us.

Kane totally unmarked at that corner. Should hit the target.

We have started sharply...seem to be winning the ball back very quickly...and all the players seem to want the ball...lots of movement

The ball's just not sitting for us around the box, is it?
