I think they have improved slightly. I complained about them to @bbcsport on Twitter after the session opener which was diabolical. I can't attend games at the moment (same as last season, it's not a championship thing) so I rely on radio commentary. Although they seem better now, I listened to the first half on radio london which despite cutting away quite frequently to other games did seem to give a better description of the action.
I always 'Google' Hull City's and our opponents game followed by 'radio commentary' and I have been lucky enough to find a commentary broadcast by our opponents on almost every occasion. There is no way I will pay to listen to Radio Humberside. I am a member of Bein Sports and although our games are few and far between it looks like we have a double bonus in November.
Can we not get Burns on the Internet without using Tiger Player? If not, how come we can seemingly get commentary from other regions?
You can only get the RH commentary within the RH region, unless you pay for Tigers Player, some other clubs put their Player commentaries out live for free. It's on my list of thongs to raise with James.
It's all about progress and innovation. I've heard it's' a thong for Europe campaign. Anyone actually know why we don't get coverage like some other clubs seem to?
That would be the European Thong Contest. I asked the question yonks ago as we used to get the 'live' commentary for FREE and I was under the impression that the BBC were supported by money from the British Tax Payers and therefore their broadcasts belonged to the people and couldn't be charged for. Obviously this is not the case.
I'm sure Burns appreciates your support, people like you keep him in a job and the rest of us have to suffer listening to him and his halfwit mate.
I'm surprised Burnsy gets so much grief, he's really not bad at all, there are far worse out there (and compared to Gwilym, he's a broadcasting genius).
I've complained several times over the years, pretty dire if you have to rely on other broadcasters to follow your own local teams matches
I think he would be better with a proper pundit instead of Swan, he would focus on the game and not treat it like a day out with his mate
The thing with Tigers player is the bloody delay. Now that is annoying. For what it's worth I think Burnsy is Ok though.
To be fair to Burns there are plenty of national commentators that are fairly bad too like Michael Owen, I'm guessing Mr Hat could start the same ironic thread about him and you'd still get people turning to say how he's actually OK
I've always thought Burns has a very sharp, nasal voice that pierces the ear and is generally not easy to endure.
Gary Alexandet stood in for Swanny couple of weeks ago, he was an improvement on Swanny. Should send Swanny on some form of media training course .
Can you also raise with him why the match day programme is so poor? The words 'Hull City' are nowhere to be found and the clubs honours list is now omitted along with a list of the clubs officials and contact numbers.
