Last time we went up we had even less goal threat IMO.

No criticism of the strikers, Aluko & Hernandez played well with what they were given, problems all in the midfield, no creativity yet again. Diame looked leggy, and Clucas/Hudd don't make much. Moses didn't give Konchesky anything like the hell he should have. Konchesky is slow and rash, Elmo always causes him trouble but Moses let him have an easy day.

Nothing's really changed from last season in the respect that our only real threat from open play is on the counter. When teams shut up shop we can't break them down. QPR didn't have to do a great deal to get a point, we didn't create a chance in the second half until Akpom played that ball across in the 92nd minute.

Don't think I've shouted the words 'put it in the box' as often as I did today. So negative in that second half.

    Whys that?

I don't gamble. I doubt anyone is throwing their weekly wages on my forecasts.

Never seen a bookie cycling to work. There's a good reason for that.

My forecast for all our games is always 4-0 to us.

    Gambling is for mugs.

So it seems is this house selling malarkey.

I remember my mother saying when she was at school in the 1930s that only 3 pupils had a parent who had a car. One was a doctor and the other were bookies. Which is why I never got into gambling. I have the sort of addictive personality with booze etc and a total lack of willpower which would have made a gambling habit a disaster.

Maybe. But I do know when to use you're.

Of course being able to say no to gambling is a strength. I packed in a 60 a day smoking habit years ago. But with drink it is the old thing about being able to say no to the first but not the second. Can go weeks without going out for a pint, and I don't drink at home, but if I do go out it ends up with me drinking copious amounts. As happened when I met up with a poster I had only ever encountered on City forums. After having many disagreements we were introduced by someone and ended up on a real boozey session. Funny thing is that nowadays it has little effect on me, you expect it to have more effect as you get older. So it is even easier not having one as what is the point of spending a load of money to feel no different? Just as well as I have to take tablets for a heart condition that making drinking a lot not a good idea.

Daniel Ayala (remember him?) scored in Boro's 2-1 win over Forest.

    Puts the smoggies above us...

It was a point a piece game - though I'm still unconvinced that the QPR goal had actually crossed the line. I haven't seen a replay yet!

We had a couple of nice passages of play in the second half, just nobody gambling - Akpoms low cross right near the end - no one gambling on the penalty spot, it would have been an easy chance.

    Still a decent point!

You seen a replay? Bruce said on the radio post match that he wasn't so sure. They have the PL goal mouth technology.
