Agree.. BUT Dean failed to defuse a situation fully, he has two other officials to help him out... when situations like this occur Dean should not have let the 2 go until both were 100% willing to walk away from one another and get on with the game. I believe Dean did not have control of the situation and prematurely moved on.

Understand what you (Arsenal 87) are saying about the Coq incident re CP, but we all know Costa has prior's and this is my beef. This guy needs to be punished and irrespective of further punishment due to him being given a yellow card is not an excuse for the ref's panel not to dig deeper.

If Dean didn't see the Koscielny incident then hopefully the FA will take retrospective action <ok>

I think your possibly spot on!

In this case does this make the two incidents by Costa (arms in face and chest push) against Kos potentially punishable by video review???

oh and let's not forget the off the ball incident where Costa kicked out at Oxo in the 2nd half... another one for the review board.. sigh!

One of the annoying things is when the ref doesn't consult the linrsmen

If the ref hasn't seen the Kos incident the FA could and should take further action

Watched the game & thought for 1st 15/20 mins we competed but after that we let Chelsea have too much ball. The sending off of Gabriel was brilliantly managed by the cheating Costa & the ref bought it.(He would being Dean) After that we were just going thru the motions & inevitably conceded a 2nd. So much for AW's contention that we can compete this season. Be lucky to get our usual 4th place & a cup run.
Really fed up & can't see it getting any better.
Sanchez & Ozil were off it again.

TBH don't think we have to worry about top 4 this year, think we will secure it as usual, the other 2 teams vying for the top 4, United and Liverpool, none of them look special, with Liverpool looking like usual Liverpool, and the team most likely not to make top 4. I know there is Spurs, but they as well don't look anything special.

Think top 4 will pretty much be the same as last year. How inspiring.......

Might as well go for the league cup, have another cup addition to our trophy cabinet.

To lose to Chelsea is most unprofessional. Your team should be beating them every time like you did until about 2005. What has happened since is not god enough and I am sure you Arsenal fans are really fed up now as Chelsea are nothing special except very conniving, and your team fell for it!!

You may well be right but feels like "damned with faint praise" & doesn't reflect where we should be. Why can't AW see (or admit to himself) that we should be competing with the Chelsea's & Man City's.

We fell right into the Chelsea trap of dirty play and frustrating us. We don't deserve to win games like this if we can't control ourselves on the pitch. 3 red cards in 2 games suggests there is a problem with discipline within the team. Losing to Jose is upsetting but the only redeeming thing is Chelsea won't win anything this season playing like that but then neither will we.

The actual ****? If that post is serious then, we should be beating everytime expect for the fact that they have better players because they can spend more money than us and also have a better manager, but yeah apart from that, we should beat them every time. <doh>

If it makes you feel any better, Chelsea are now in amongst the mid-table titans of Norwich, West Brom and Spurs.

When the going gets tough some players just can't hack it and disappear, and you often know who it will be.

Didn't see the match. Ozil do anything? Sanchez carrying on his mediocre form?

I hope when we face Chelsea later on in the season, when we will probably have no chance to win the title, one of our players actually takes out Costa properly. The **** needs to get what he deserves. But knowing our players I doubt this would happen. Bunch of pansies, probably get another nothing red like today.

The Chelsea team now is nothing special granted, but nor is Arsenal's. Any Arsenal side pre-2009 would have won today comfortably. Costa isn't the reason Arsenal lost today.
