If we don't sort the defence out in January we're ****ed.
Fell a bit sorry for Jones he's been left totally on his own.

The sooner this " stain " of a club disappears from our league into oblivion , the better we will all be lol.

As bad as it sounds then? Haven't got logged in to watch it. Should I bother?

Need I say more about Defoe? He's now missed golden opportunities in the last and thus game which could be the difference between points and none! Defenders were rubbish for the first goal . Defoe was just as bad there.

Just can't wait to have a go about Defoe can you?

You said you're not watching it therefore you can't complain about him being "just as bad".

FYI don't bother turning it on - you'll miss Defoe's hattrick to win us the game 3-2.

Yeah 2 goals in 6 games? I'm not counting the three against a 4th division side. He missed a sitter last week and has done the same today? We can't afford to miss sitters as much as we can't afford poor defending. Why can't he score those? He Did at all previous clubs but he can't for us? 2 dolly misses in 2 weeks is poor. It's not like he put a 30 yarded wide or he was on the stretch. 2 one v one chances and he hasn't scored either! I'd back borini to score them. No good having a player who can only do it occasionally. If Wickham had missed those chances there'd be hell to pay on here! His 2 goals were more difficult than the two chances he's missed!

Why are we marking so tight? They rolling us every time. Stay goal side and give them a yard. Gomez as well, that sort of negativity so deep is killing us. 6 players in front of him and he's playing it back to the calamity brothers. The wonder goal was proper kick in the nuts.

Marcus, you're slagging off a 1 in 3 ratio there, have a word with yourself. Defoe has missed a chance today, the defender was on his shoulder and it got caught in his feet, it happens to the best of them.

FYI... If a striker misses a 1v1, its just as bad as rubbish defending no?

He's missed 2 sitters in 2 weeks! That's as bad as catts giving away 2 penalties or a defender giving away 2 goals. Goals win games. If our no 1 striker can't score a 1v1 then where do we turn?

I think he played very well last week until he tired. But he missed a sitter!

For all the John O'shea haters, be careful what you wish for, we are rubbish at the back without his steadying influence, no matter how slow he is.

It's been previously suggested that Rodwell might do well at centre half. Might as well give it a shot today and see what happens ?

Any need for the Newcastle montage right before the 2nd half kicks off?
