Does that include Blair who took us into an illegal war that many leftie commentators are blaming for the current immigrant crisis? You remember Blair, darling of New Labour?

I don't think that the poster was necessarily a dig at only the Tories w_y. It might be usefull to remember that Cameron also voted to go to war, whereas Miliband and Corbyn both voted against.

If you are prepared to cycle from Germany, I could arrange a safe haven for it in Bushey providing it doesn't have Green party slogans all over it. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Cologne, can you make it a tandem and bring Frenchie with you, he sounds great at doing jobs and I've still got a lot of soil to move.
I might have two spare tickets for Crystal Palace and some foie gras, although you probably won't eat it.

I continue to be surprised by the abuse on this thread..... Having been a 606 member for quite a few years and priding ourselves on mutual respect... are we going to throw it all away?

Me too Yorkie. Seems there are some that cannot express their views without resorting to abusing other posters. In future I will not be fuelling their angst and will ignore any of their posts - whatever the thread.

I watched Question Time on Thursday night. I would like them to do three specials from the offshore islands as it might make some people on the mainland realise that some of the beliefs about them may be dispelled - Jimmy Carr didn't help matters for us but we are under scrutiny from the IMF more than any other place and passed every inspection. A Jersey politician has invited Corbyn to the island: http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2015/09/15/mezec-invites-corbyn-to-jersey-to-join-anti-cuts-rally/

I happened to have the misfortune of much too much time in airports yesterday and got drawn to the articles covering front pages by Mr Salmond. It does appear that the SNP lost the battle but won the war regarding independence and I unfortunately must concur with the fat man down the road that it is a matter of time and not that far off. With this divisive nationalist tendency I regret to have to worry at when not if we will end up with civil war or rather international war here in the UK between Scotland and England caused by yes politicians. That poster above misses the biggest cause of wars though and that is religion. The truth is that all wars are contrived by an elite egotistic minority for their own self interest be they clerics, imans, politicians, union leaders or business men.

There is a major outbreak of reasonableness (is that a word) this morning. I will try my hardest to be civil to everyone in future, we are all supporters of the greatest football team in Hertfordshire.

My pile of topsoil will go down much quicker if I don't bite!!

Hopefully the new style will last longer than Corbyn and Cameron's.

I would take you up on one point here Aberdeen. It is very easy to know how many people have killed in the name of religion, but not those who have refrained from killing for the same reason.

But those refraining are not causing war? My point was that religion is one of the elements that incites war, the fact that many have not killed due to religious beliefs can also be carried across to the other categories, not every politician, union leader, business ceo, iman, pope etc incites war but among their ilk are those that do.
