Listowel cranks it up a tad at the weekend with some slightly better jumping cards and there's two tomorrow I like.

    1.50 SIZING CODELCO 9/4
Was very close to putting up Gambling Girl who looks dangerous with the mares allowance and had a lovely win on the flat a couple of weeks back but I've sided with Henry's horse on his chase debut. Sure to have been schooled well, he looks to have the size and scope to make a fair novice chaser. Hopefully the ground won't dry out too much as he certainly is better on soft/heavy.

    5.45 REBEL FITZ 6/4
Sir Marks horse certainly worries me but I'm slightly underwhelmed by that ones form when I looked into it. Michael Winters always has a winner or two at this, and banged in a well backed jolly in the last this evening, hopefully history can repeat tomorrow. Won this race last year very stylishly, and as above I'm hoping the ground stays soft for this old boy.

Wouldn't put anyone off a double either ;)

He was very boisterous after Rebel Fitz's run at rasaì na Gaillimhe the last day Beefy. That Sea Pride is a nice type too though, I backed him last year In 2 races, he won 1 and was 3rd the next time but he will prove a very stern test.

Gonna have a more in depth look here now <ok>

    Evening all.

I think Eagle Top looks a solid bet tomorrow in the 1.45. I know he's a short price but one could argue he should be shorter than 10/11. Ran a solid race last time when there was cut in the ground. He's 5 llb superior to his closest rival.

Hawkeyethenoo 2.35. I tipped him up last time and the old boy ran well for 5.5/6f but then faded badly. I still think he's nicely handicapped so will play ew again. Good luck all.

That 4.05 novice hurdle is a real nice race. I really liked the look of After Rain but then I see the Mullins one entered with Ruby and getting the weight. Most appear to have a chance. Any thoughts?

Not too sure about Eagle Top Al. He has his going and has won on the course so should win but can't fancy him at those odds. We'll find out how good that Ascot form was. Good luck if you are on. <cheers>

Beau Et Sublime (sounds a bit like me <laugh>) could actually be the better of the Gigginstown pair but if I were forced into a bet on the race it would probably be on Prickly.

Smashing jumps card at Plumpton on Sunday <ok>

Bit of a poke at the Silver And Gold Cups:

    FENDALE

    HIGHLAND ACCLAIM

If it's e/w angle I'd also fancy Foxtrot Romeo and Buckstay to run well at prices.

Blind following Makin and De Sousa at Ayr today. Its a Saturday so form generally goes out the window with big priced winners everywhere and these two seem to have a lot of big odds rides. Hoping for 1 big priced winner from them!

Think Eagle Top is a big price at a shade of odds on, postponed won in France last week and this is a step down in class from the King George

In the Firth Of Clyde Stakes (2:00) at Ayr, once raced facile maiden winner Priceless could prove to be different class to her more experienced rivals but that is reflected in the cramped odds. Of those with quality form, Lady Clair and Whatdoiwantthatfor were both well beaten in better races last time.

At Headquarters, I do not think the 2:40 is as competitive as the numbers suggest. Shady McCoy has won three of his four starts, losing the one when I backed him, but preference today is for Chris Wall’s improving filly VENUS MARINA, who receives nine pounds from Ian Williams’ gelding.

As the field for the Cesarewitch Trial is totally dominated by NH trainers, I will quickly ignore that one!

The sprint handicap at 4:25 looks like a great opportunity for Richard Fahey’s twice-raced My Dad Syd but he was a remote second when favoured last time, so I am inclined towards Mehronissa and MAGNUS MAXIMUS, a surprise winner from a big field at Ascot a couple of weeks ago but on a mark lower than he has won off before.

Tom Marquand is not without chances of a double as he rides Distain for Lady Cecil in the 5:00, upped in trip against unbeaten Bateel.

Think Chelsea to beat Arsenal at 7-5 is a great bet. Chelsea had a confidence boosting win in the week but arsenal having spent all last season trying to qualify for the champions league then decided to rest everyone in their first game? Wenger under huge pressure and doesn't have a clue how to beat the big teams either.

Afternoon All. Great days sport ahead of us today with the horsies, footy and Rugby. Here is my tuppence
Listowel 1.50. Dont normally like taking on my old mate Beefy but think Gambling Girl could be the better value at 9/2 and might have to much over the favourite.
Listowel 3.30. Well Taken 10/1. Been told the this lad has been working well at home but yet to run at this level so EW territory here. The booking of Baz G is a plus and any late money would be a positive.
Ayr 3.45 Pin sticking stuff here and even though favourites dont have a good record in this race the inform Fahey yard will carry my hard earned on Dont Touch. Will have a saver on Buckstay.
On the footy front Boyles are doing a money back special if Mourinho and Wenger shake hands after the match which I think may happen due to FA pressure etc. With that in mind i'm taking Diego Costa to score first at 5/1.
Decided to change my name again for the final time! Ste D it is going forward!

Very tough to find anything i fancy on the gee gee's today, will just play at a £1 a race on Ch4 for some interest.
Newcastle to beat Watford looks a good bet to me, two very average teams and go with the value of a home win.

Not sure Wenger will be shaking mourinho hand after that!.Costa is a dirty cheating bastard, waving imaginary cards, elbowing and pushing.
