    Agree with this in general, though I don't have a desire to live for ever <laugh> Totally agree with your last line. :D We can only "live" forever if we transfer consciousness, medical advances will not lead is there because linear continuation for infinity is anathema to how the universe works, cycles dictate and always will. When we can stop radioactive decay then maybe, but at present we are very dependent on radioactive decay for much of our scientific advances. We certainly cannot prevent it

    Our biggest limitation is the human condition sadly, we as a species have not really advanced much in thousands of years. Our brains are still quite primitive

    AI and Computer tech is centuries from being anywhere near what we see in some movies. Neurons need to be replicated and we barely even today understand Neurons and what they do, our scope of understanding is very limited.

    I just looked up De Grasse Tyson's achievements in astrophysics. Seeing as he is such a big mouth

    He took a position at the Hayden Planetarium just a few years after finishing his PhD

    Why does anyone listen to that douche bag, personality is better than actual scientific achievement apparently, he's done **** all. <doh>

    Was just reading some background on Einstein's work and his historical notes..

    Einstein rejected the idea of black holes several times as well as perceiving the singularities created by his theory as a mathematical dead end. He believed the removal of singularity would restrict his field equations which is why they are there, physical singularities are nonsense

    Fancy that.

    Einstein must be a crank also <laugh>

    More evidence for the fraud that is man made global warming.

    Michael Mann the creator of the infamous hockeystick that has been totaly and utterly discredited, doesn't want to account for what he is doing with money and refuses to show the data and information related to his funding.

    Mann’s career is dependent on taxpayer handouts. He draws his salary from a public university, Penn State. He solicits government grant money to carry out special research projects. Government officials, who are accountable to voters for how they spend the tax money they collect, occasionally follow up on taxpayer concerns that government funding recipients appear to be misusing government funds. This, apparently, makes Mann furious.

    Mann’s fury emanates from Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli looking into how Mann spent over a million dollars in public funding when he was employed by the University of Virginia. After receiving complaints that Mann was manipulating data to obtain government grants, Cuccinelli asked him to share with him information and data relating to the grants. Mann refused, saying he had privacy rights against government officials inquiring about how he spent government money. He also attacked Cuccinelli for being “anti-science.”

    Appalled at Mann’s hostility to government-funding transparency, which also seemed to validate that Mann had something to hide regarding his use of government funds, Cuccinelli moved to require Mann to share his taxpayer-funded information and data. Mann ultimately prevailed in the dispute, convincing the Virginia Supreme Court that Cuccinelli could not require him to share the information because Cuccinelli’s authority does not extend to transparency issues regarding government agency funding. Conveniently for Mann, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the University of Virginia qualified as a state “agency.”

    This fraudster doesn't have to account for millions in funding.. <doh>

    @Tobes

    I posted the ocean temp Argo data on a Guardian comments section relating to claims of .17 a decade increase a decade warming, which as I had shown was .03 a decade.

    The Guardian blocked my account <laugh>
