I know I'm generally not all that positive now and then, but last night was pathetic again. Jordan Ibe, he should be playing in the reserves after that performance, quite literally walking majority of the game. Can, was he proving a point? He was woeful when he was put in defence. Origi clearly is Borini mk2 Mignolet is somehow still our main keeper and says everything about Rodgers legacy. Lallana scored a good goal at least Sakho at least knows what he is doing in defence. Ings didn't have long, but did more than Origi all game long. Coutinho, poor Coutinho. He only has 10 months till he is free from our Rodgers ruined team.
Clyne, Skrtel and Lovren were all left behind #resting We only have one LB (Moreno) apparently, no idea where Enrique is We loaned the rest out.
Whats everyone's issue with Ming? He's not been at fault for any of the goals this season and last year e was very good and actually kept 2nd most amount of clean sheets, impressive given the crap he was playing BBehind. He has a few issues but coming for crosses he's vastly improved, shot saving is good and kicking is a lot better (can actually hit the half way line now). He's still a bit slow off his line but no ones perfect. He he gets out to attackers in the box quickly and narrows the angle as well. People are being harsh on him for no reason I think.
So enforced lack of options Early season, no reason why Skrtel and Clyne couldnt play Keep Lovren away, from everything. Just keep him away I'd like to see Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno Have Gomez challenging for the middle not playing him full back all the time
Defenders on the books... Clyne (rested) Enrique (lost at sea ) Toure Lovren (rested) Gomez Sakho Moreno Ilori (out on loan) Skrtel (rested) Flanno (injured) Wisdom (out on loan) So we have eleven defenders, two are out on loan, one is long term injured, one lost at sea and we left three behind for a much needed rest after five games leaving us we four options. All four played last night and one got injured
On a more serious note, we need to sort that LB position out so Gomez can move central. He's wasted at LB! Be brave and play Moreno. And get Flanno fit!
Agreed. The excitement with Gonez started well but he's not a long term option. The threat should at least mean Moreno knows he has competition so put in a shift at lb when played.
