There are over 11 million of us. The political map of England is almost totally blue
Hopefully your children can teach you how to join a political debate without reverting to insults.

Do you suffer from an inferiority complex? Some of your comments are frankly weird.

" Inferiority complex " I think not . Perhaps in relation to you the reverse might be true :emoticon-0105-wink: . I don't mind being considered weird by someone like yourself ..I don't expect you to understand / comprehend ...... No offence intended .
11 million voters out of an electorate of circa 46 million is not all that impressive .

hornet fan 1963 - you are using the same stereotyping as superhorns hss been criticised for. Quite honestly I do not judge someone on the party they vote for any more than the football team they support. I know some very compassionate and generous tory voters - and tight, vindictive, prejudice labour ones. I do not believe I am alone on that one.

Spot on Dan, resorting to abusive stereotyping just demonsrates a lack of reasoned argument. It's very easy to get worked up and abusive sitting behind a keyboard - I wonder how many would have the same position if they were having this discussion face to face.

You are quite right Dan....some Tories are quite human. The way we come to our political opinions is largely coincidence anyway, many Tories just met the wrong people at the wrong times and need guidance rather than censure ! Lost souls really, like Luton fans.

I don't imagine you as anything and I have no desire to judge you in any way either. I also don't understand the need to compare peoples backgrounds or circumstances to try and position their argument as being "more credible" - if I recall Tony Benn went to a top public school. but that hardly made him a bloated, greedy etc etc.
Of course you choose to skirt around my point regarding my wife and the fact that she does a very worthwhile job (far more than me and most I know) and yet she drives an Audi - so in your world that makes her a bloated, greedy etc. etc. Is that correct?
Regarding my comment of Luton being a dump of a town, well I stand by it and I would say that parts of Watford are dumps and Hemel and Stevenage and Milton Keynes and Borehamwood and and and......it hardly says anything about my inner self but rather a reflection on some of the people that live in this country and how they choose to live.
Rather than name calling and having to resort to a "look at me, look at me" approach, why not try and reason your argument?

Here you are probably right w_y. If we were all in a pub having this discussion it could be taking a different course. I confess that I am not a digital native and sometimes would prefer more direct communication, where gestures, humour etc. can come over more spontaneously than they do here.

Hmm , stand by the Audi comment . Don't know your wife , but I'm sure she is top totty . I now live in a very pleasant North Bucks village ..but full of self serving , shallow golf playing Audi drivers . ( dated a few middle aged female Audi drivers ...all were blondes and came out of the same mould ) .
A lot of folk who live in your "dump" town's are thoroughly decent people . You come across as an utter snob .
My girlfriend works in A&E at a very busy General Hospital ...why not move the debate to the NHS . It is a disgrace how hospital staff are treated ..and with this lovely government it's going to get a whole lot worse .

Many non-Tories unfortunately do not understand financial realities because they spend the whole of their working life working for the state, teachers, social workers, local government employees etc. This large and vitally important section's contribution to society should not be underestimated but the employees often lack the financial experience and pressure naturally gained in the private sector. I'm sure there are many other pressures but not the kind that teaches financial prudence. So Cologne an individual's life experiences do shape his/her politics.

Is this your idea of getting juices flowing? I think this is the nastiest post I have seen on this thread. What I find most surprising is that WY has said nothing to even remotely justify such a response.

I think your posts are getting weirder. They remind me of that film from the 60's. "A suitable case for treatment."
