I can't be the only one getting fed up with corben being slaughtered for his lack of cow towing to the royals. As a Republican if he sings the national anthem he is a weak hypocrite and if not he is disrespectful. Same thing tonight on the news with the BBC reporter pressing him on whether he will kneel before the queen when joining the privy council.
As per usual the real issues are obfuscated by the wrong coloured tie ffs. I think Joe Public is beginning to get a bit fed up of the Daily Mail Side Bar of shame ****e.
Let's face it, most of the England Football Team don't (or can't) sing it, presumably many don't even know the words!
For someone who presumably wants to become PM one day It will be shameful and very odd if the leader of Her Majesty's Government did not sing the National Anthem, especially in front of the heads of other foreign governments! It would be the same if the American or French presidents refused to sing their own anthems. This guy Corbyn is a complete throw back and a joke and will consign the Labour party to at least another decade in the political wilderness so I guess the situation will never arise.
The American and French anthems are really songs about nations and are not divisive in the way ours is. I do not want her to reign over us and so I cannot sing this drivel but that does not render me less patriotic, and I guess that refers to Corbyn as well.
We happen to have a constitutional monarchy so anyone who wants to be PM has to abide by this and all it entails.
A complete throw back who happens to stand by his principles? I don't think the anthem karaoke is a mark of a man's worth, and who was it but Cameron who said that PQT was more civilised than usual. Keep reading the Mail JWM, I like your summaries of it for us.
The constant drip, drip of media scrutiny will undoubtedly erode Labour support. They will focus on stuff like singing the anthem, support for (so-called) terrorists and the apparent disunity on policy. I very much doubt he will be leader in two years time.
