http://www.espnfc.co.uk/barclays-pr...ing-schneiderlin-could-be-sale-to-sink-saints An article from ESPN asking if the loss of Morgan may be a step too far for Southampton. Actually a measured article and worth a read. I like the description of Mate as an anti-Mane.
Koulibaly's agent admitting that he had talks with us and Norwich over the summer, for what it's worth.
I'm not surprised, United are in a poor shape. I would tip us to win, but I don't know which Southampton will turn up. United play the game at a walking pace, they're very slow in building their attack, they lack a prolific striker ecc. Shaw will be a huge miss for them, he was one of their best player, running at people, changing rhythm, injecting pace in United's attack. I'm pretty confident we can contain them.
Good article about the history of this fixture http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/sep/17/man-utd-southampton-premier-league Apparently, our win against them in 1986 caused the sacking of Ron Atkinson and the arrival of Sir Alex Ferguson. I guess they owe us big time.
That`s what I really liked about Luke - he could change pace and go past people, almost like he was doing it without effort. I hope he gets back to his best.
Then he would stop and pass it backwards, or manage to hit the first defender. He is about 10 percent away from being the complete fullback, hopefully his recovery will include lots of crossing practice
. Gosh, that makes me feel old, There was nothing apparent about it. It happened. United were looking for an excuse and we gave them a monumental one.
Yeah, Tiss talks slightly guilty about how he got Big Ron sacked. I remember watching the 6-3 and the Cantona punches with Van Gobbel on telly after the game. UVG just laughs when Eric punches him square in the chest. Kinda loved him forever after that, even if he was a somewhat 'limited' footballer!
He expects the Saints of last season to turn up. And we're slowly getting back there. If our best team does turn up I suspect he won't be far wrong.
