Let's re-direct that to Pembroke College, Cambridge. They have a fine chemical engineering department.
From the uncyclopedia ... Buckfast enthusiasts are often found caressing the bottle in order to summon the genie inside, who will cater to their every whim, whether it involves violence or inappropriate ejection of bodily substances.
Not at 8% + it isn't. Though It's too strong for delicate lager/beer/shandy drinkers. Fruit based alcoholic beverages were probably the first ever produced along with mead. Real men drink Cider. Historically proven fact
Cider's not really a Yorkshire tradition now is it. But the stuff they sell in Holsworthy soon gets you saying oooaar.
There's also a Cider company in North Newbald East Yorks - Moorlands. Amongst others, not sure on the heritage, but Ampleforth have been around since1802 and Gaymers since 1770. Gaymer's was originally started in Benham, Norfolk producing Cider for people in the East of England. So I guess we've always had a taste for it in these parts!
At first I thought this thread was in response to the pungent smell of urine in the toilets at the KC. Has this issue been resolved yet?
Tried that Aspalls one when in Dorset and Hampshire earlier this year. Also, as an everyday pub drink, liked Sheppeys. Wish they sold some of those ciders on draught up here instead of the sweet rubbish we get.
It would be too strong for beer or lager drinkers like yourself. Just been down in Devon. Would love to see someone telling some of the locals I saw knocking back prodigious amounts of cider that they were puffs.
Weak beers, strong beers, the % thing doesn't come into it so much when you're a real ale connoisseur like me. I don't do lager anymore, but when I did, I found it needed to be around 5% ABV to taste anything like. Since I became a fan of 'real ale' though, I've found this rule doesn't apply. I can enjoy a beer whether it be 3.4% or 7.4%. It's a very different thing altogether is ale. Would I be considered a proper hard case if I drank Old Rosie?
My thoughts exactly Stan. Encouraging, goading a young naive lad Kemps to drink stronger and stronger alcohol. We all know where this is going
More a case of putting right some clueless person who thinks people who don't share his tastes in alcohol are puffs.
No. You would be considered less of a silly prat if you didn't come out with comments like your original one however.
Was that the lasses and puffs one? You honestly couldn't tell that was very tongue in cheek? Chill Castro, chill.
