4,682 people have viewed this thread already. From the comments made i would be very worried if i was a City official.
is that 4682 different ip address's? or could that be people that have viewed the thread 3-4 times when new coments have been added !then the figure might be more like 1,170 or 780 ? as for the shirt sales, guess we will see by how many fans turn up this week with the shirts on/off !
The marketing department at City do read the boards, there are also similar comments posted on the clubs official Facebook site, they'll be well aware of the reaction the new shirts have generated. The general enquiry email address is - [email protected] Supporter based queries can be sent to the Community Liaison Officer - [email protected]
glad to hear they keep an ear on the boards. never heard such an uproar re sponsors before, a delicate situation for City but what could they do since they've already signed the contract with CC? CC won't want an option available to supporters on whether to have the logo, no chance.
Sponsor - some like and some don't. Can't be changed. Logo - do we have to have that awful black patch? Can't it merely be the lettering?
Logos have been made up for the training kits in just white - so why not use these logos instead of the black rectangular eyesore!!!
I was in TigerLeisure at the KC this morning - bought some training wear, and the staff were all sat on the floor going thru the shirts. The girl who served me said they were aware of the reaction about the sponsors logo.
Just had a phonecall from HULL CITY . I won the competition on taking a photo of the new shirt on saturday. Gonna get presented with a signed shirt by all the team at the Crystal Palace game at half time
I agree with the sentiments of most posters. It seems to me that if the logo is not yet applied to the shirts, then it could be changed to a more suitable one without the black background. If Bonus Electrical, Karoo, ToteSport etc accepted lettering without a black background, then CC should. By the way I put the Philadelphia Union "Bimbo" shirt on for a laugh. Bimbo are a large catering company and sponsor other sporting events. But who wants to go around with Bimbo on his shirt? There are plenty of people at the games wearing Union shirts without the logo, me included (I wear a Tigers shirt).
Accept the shirt and stick a piece of pale blue paper over the abomination of a logo. That'll get the message over.
They DO accept only lettering, check out Motherwell's shirt. I cant speak for everyone else but that's all Im asking - change the logo to how Motherwell's is (perhaps in navy blue or white on the away shirt) and I'd buy the bugger.
