If Cisse IS showing petulance off the pitch as well as not giving a crap off it I'd literally drop him to the U21's.

To have a rotten egg in a basket can be detrimental to the wider team spirit and derail what SM is trying to rebuild.

For me, if Cisse and Tiote both want away that's fine by me. I've been also unhappy... but at Cisse's lack of goals and carefree attitude and Tiote's lack of game time. Call me old fashioned but I want to see expensive and well paid footballers on the pitch playing and trying hard for the team.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United duo Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote want to leave Tyneside - and the Magpies are becoming increasingly concerned about both of them.
Many fans expected a full-scale overhaul of the Newcastle squad having only narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship sat the end of last season, but that didn't really happen under new manager Steve McClaren.
Instead, a number of fringe players ended up staying at St. James' Park, including Mike Williamson, Yoann Gouffran, and Rob Elliot as well as Cisse and Tiote remained with McClaren's men.
Now, the Daily Mail report that striker Cisse has refused to attend meetings with manager McClaren over his future as he seeks an exit, whilst the club are also reportedly concerned over the future of midfielder Cheick Tiote, who is also angling for a transfer.
Premier League[/a] this season - and having two unhappy players isn't doing them any favours right now.

McClaren should look to call upon his previous relationship with Tiote in a bid to get him back on track on Tyneside, as that situation doesn't seem nearly as irreparable as Cisse's. The Ivorian played just 12 times last season, but having been so valuable to McClaren before, it shows what type of role he could yet have at Newcastle if he is committed to the cause.
McClaren needs to try and diffuse both situations in the coming weeks, as his Newcastle side need as much help as they can get having failed to win so far in the Premier League this season - and having two unhappy players isn't doing them any favours right now.

No, but why the fck are they still there? We obviously have an issue with the squad, why are they still here not giving a fck? Very poor management by the "football board", IMHO. Seemed to be scared to get rid for fear of having to replace.

Cisse will be no miss. Tiote of the last two years and not committed will be no miss. The quicker you **** on unhappy types the less chance it has of affecting squad morale. It is the Daily Fail though...

    This is the point.
An unhappy player never plays to their potential and so can have a detrimental effect on the team as others look on and think... Cisse can't be arsed so why should I.... that's my big fear. no matter what a players ability, all we ask is that he tries. It's like that banner said... we don't demand a team which wins... we demand one that tries..

Tiote has his own temperament issues and I can't honestly remember the last time he had a good game. That will be because he was either 'injured' again or just plain lazy.

By the way... comgrats on the 1000 posts.

I'm convinced that is a new record for a 'newbie'... under 6 weeks....

You are missing the point mate, he has been injured. If the story was true, this also means he wants out and not because of not being selected. If they both want out you are better off waving goodbye. As much as I liked Tiote in his first season, bar one or two spells, he has been no better than these two over the last 3 seasons. At times he has been unable to locate a black and white shirt from 5 yards.

Cisse's all round play is awful. He has scored goals in the past but I think that is gone now. GET RID!

As for Tiote, he was good first season but since then he has been non existent. We should also get rid.

At all other clubs players get unhappy but they carry on trying and playing because they are professional. Our players do not seem to be. We have had our fair share of wasters over the years but it has to stop now.

I do not understand that after all these years of utter tripe football we still seem to be going backwards.

    IM BORED!
