What about the DM we also needed?

Looking pretty bad that we didn't sign a DM. As I said, I can understand the CF issue (although we've had opportunities before this summer) and I didn't want us to go and spent £30m-£40m on somebody just to appease the fans and he turns out to be ****. But a DM ? no excuses really. We'd be better off playing Chambers there than Arteta.

Chambers needs to go out on loan and play at CB. He is not good enough on the ball to play as a DM. He is young but he needs games to learn his posistion and has to settle on that posistion.

Tend to agree with that and I think his long term position will be CB. Just frustrated at our lack of options at DM.

Wenger is all about giving players a chance, maybe he should give someone else in midfield a chance, like he did Coq. Try out that young Polish kid he bought, Krystian Bielik, the guy is young but he is a giant, 6'2, let's see how he handles himself. The Spurs game is a good opportunity to show what he's got. Still really young though, not even turned 18 yet!

Depends on how he's been doing in or reserves? If he's good enough then he really has to play, as our alternatives aren't anything special.

Just think about the Coqs situation and how he ended up as our DM. At the time we had injury prone, over-the-hill Areteta and past-it freebee Flamini as our main DMs. Coqs was hardly anything special at the time, yet we blew huge amounts on Ozil and yet we brought no suitable DM? Following season, we blew a shed load on Sanchez and still no DM. Then this transfer season and we only spent £10m on Cech and still no DM. I think the general consensus is that Wenger's fluked it with Coqs and his track record for this position is poor. Yet having a proper functioning DM has made us a much more better and solid outfit. Strange how Wenger still doesn't sight this as an important position.

He does good stuff but makes some puzzling decisions at the same time.

Rosicky is a little cobatative so and so. How come Wenger has never played him in a deeper position.

He'll never be a DM as such but he can surely play as a deep lying CM?

Doesn't anyone know Rosicky is out long term? Wenger said he has a similar problem to Wellbeck and is out for the long haul, stop mentioning him people.
