    http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news...-to-bankroll-breakaway-labour-party-1-7465736

"THE millionaire owner of Hull City football club has offered to support Labour MPs who want to break away from the party following Jeremy Corbyn’s election as leader."

I know it could fall foul of the "no politics" rule but I'm looking at it from the point of view that it shows he's lost touch with reality even more than before. He's talked about selling the club for £2m. He seems incapable of speaking any sense at all now.

There's not going to be a second SDP style breakaway. Allam is getting more publicity for himself.

I actually think he's making a lot of sense here, Labour are doomed with that idiot in charge and won't be capable of mounting a serious opposition unless he re-thinks his entire philosophy.

Obviously Allam offering to wave money at things and think he can fix them is a little deluded but if I were a Labour supporter (and I'm not) I would seriously consider jumping ship too.

Even if that is the case, the Labour members have voted and they couldnt have been much clearer with that vote. If they're going to form breakaways when they dont like the result then why hold a ballot in the first place?

There's a big difference between the views of the majority of parliamentary party and the grass roots it seems.....he's the best man to lead the Labour part IMHO as he'll keep them out of power for the foreseeable future.

As for Allam has he gone publicity mad now?

This national anthem malarkey has really pissed me off.... As if its a snub to the armed forces, the whole point of fighting in wars is so people have liberty to make decisions such as this. He is perfectly entitled not to sing if he doesnt want to. I'm as patriotic as the next man but I would never sign the national anthem because I'm a republican. The 2 things do not go hand -in -hand. The fact that this was front page lead when Europe is facing the biggest humanitarian crisis since WWII is a disgrace.

And by the way none of this is politics related. I'd be saying exactly the same is Cameron or Prince Charles didnt sing it and on the flipside Labour MPs have criticised Corbyn for not singing.

I'm not sure that's true as none of the wars I fought in were related to singing anthems. Actually only one of them was technically a war and that was about Weapons of Mass Destruction, no hang on Oil, erm no it was defiantly about Democracy...yes I'm sure it was Democracy. Now were we for it or against it?

Me too. I am an ex-squaddy, and I refuse to sing God Save the Queen. It isn't a national anthem, it is a royal anthem. We need a proper national anthem that honours the country, not some privileged family.

I think Corbyn will surprise a few people by the next election. (Tin hat firmly on)

Politics has become a fashion show dominated by self-seeking, career obsessed mercenaries. People are being turned off from the whole farce and I think someone who is willing to talk quietly and openly rather than spouting sound bites could be quite refreshing to a lot of voters.

I'm sure with the Tory Press and Media already sharpening their knives he has little chance of actually winning, but he could rock the boat and shock a few stuffed shirts into realising we're pig-sick of their patronising cosmetic crap.
