Looking at them OT they're definitely extended family.

 

Quite a few articles have popped up today rubbishing reports that we'll move for Bridge - admittedly they're quoting the 'source close to the club' .. but still referring to Bridge as being nowhere near the recruitment policy the club has for investing in potentil with resale value.

However, there is another Man City defender who culd be a bit handy as a squad player .. young Nedum Onuoha .. looks like he's been left home alone (apart from Adebayor) whilst the others have jetted off on pre season ..

He was quoted on SSN .."I don't have a locker, I don't have a squad number now, but other than that, it's same as." ..

He was once very highly rated but doesn't seem to get a game now .. not sure he did much on loan in mackemland either .. but can apparently play right/left & center at the back .. good cover?

 

i asked sid about him and the upshot was he wasn't great but quite average

 

But if none of the big clubs want him this summer, they likely won't want him next summer (and he'll just be another year older). So if he doesn't transfer during this window, he may as well sign an extension. At the very least, if he signs an extension, his resale value goes up (even if I don't always agree that length of contract remaining should determine transfer value)

 

If we don't sell Enrique and Barton I'll be happy with a striker and full back cover. The striker being Mario Gomez, I'll hold off buying the away shirt until he signs

 

Aye there from Largs, the had the photoshhot in Falkirk as it was more central for the hoardes of Journo's and snappers that turned up

 

I just want the club to show some damn ambition, at the moment lets be honest we should have money to burn, I'm not saying spend every single penny of the Carroll money just because its there but we should definitely be making strides to bring in at least a couple more quality players whether that means breaking the bank or not.

In a perfect world though I'd like to see Sturridge come to us or possibly Bendtner who I actually rate fairly highly.

Would like the Zog but I think we have enough in midfield to hold our own for next season.

Would also like to see competition for Simpson brought in because I dont think hes anywhere near the finished article and is over rated by many fans.

Backup for Enrique (if he stays) and possibly another decent young CB to challenge for a place, although I think Willo, Taylor and Colo are acceptable.
