I know it was at Old Trafford but Pahars nutmegging Japp Stam and then scoring deserves a mention.

l have the same memory of the 0-3 game - Best was amazing that night - he was man-marked the whole game and closed down by 2/3 players every time he got the ball, but did his magic and had involvement in all the goals and was kicked half to death that game (as he always was). Kidd was playing too that night They wore blue shirts and white shorts; this is my earliest strong recollection as l was 8 years old, although I started going in 1966; I was in awe of that team.

To watch those games my father used to take a wooden picnic chair that he would unfold and I would stand on it to see over the wall! Happy days!

Another memory of OT was Timmy Flowers running the length of the pitch to celebrate with Saints fans after saving the deciding penalty in a shootout in the FA Cup in '92 I think.

Who was at this game in the FA Cup in '77?, a repeat of the Cup Final the season before. The Dell was packed to the rafters and I can remember some fans at the pitchside during play. It ended 2-2 and I think that we lost the replay.

3-2 last minute winner by David Armstrong typically running from deep. Followed the decision to disallow Keegans scissor kick. Stood under west stand and went ballistic!

    I used to hate that.

You'd turn up 90 mins before the game, rush to the front and secure yourself a decent view. Then 5 mins before kickoff a bloke would wimper "can my nipper stand in front of you, he can't see". His nipper would turn out to be 6'1" or have a bloody stepladder to stand on and always had elbows like knives. Grrrrr.

Man Utd? 6-3, I took a Pompey supporting mate who just couldn't believe it. To his credit he took pleasure at Utd's loss.

I remember that well, as was so angry that team, not that we had been relegated, but the complete lack of fight in the team. Every player on that day should have been ashamed, they were a more talented bunch than the team in the late nineties, but I wished that day we had Dodd, Benali and co on the pitch - I somehow think the outcome would have been different - and if it wasn't I would have gone home relatively happy knowing that they gave it their best shot

I seem to recall a game at the Dell, can't remember if it was a draw or a win, but Rod Wallace broke down the left wing, cut in and stroked it across the keeper, into the far corner, in the last minute.
I celebrated the goal by running along the back corridor, under the East stand, like an absolute loon.
I think it was against Utd, but memory not my strong point these days.

I remember the 3-1 very well. Glorious day. Annoyingly I was in Chicago for the 6-3 but I remember calling my bro just before the end of the game, thinking we'd be getting thumped (seeing as they'd lost so heavily to Newcastle the game before)...when he said 'five three' I thought "oh bugger".....before he said "no, to you....hold on, it's now six"!

I was there. United fans stormed the pitch after the match and started lobbing things into the Milton where we were. My dad got hit in the head with a half-eaten meat pie!

Yep the wonderful talented mr Redknapp failed to gee the players up to fight for their premiership survival.
