All over Twitter and confirmed by Phil Hay. Apparently he's leaving on good terms and needs a break. Bollox! Got a feeling Rosler may be for the chop as well. Cellino back to his best it seems.
Pearson's Official Statement ... http://www.leedsunited.com/news/article/r3no0iv3tb6713tu2zrm71gsg It is with great disappointment that I have to confirm I'll be taking a break from Leeds United and football in general, in order to focus on other personal and business interests. I have really enjoyed my time at Leeds United and would like to thank everybody, the staff and supporters, that have made me feel so welcome. I'd also like to thank Mr Cellino for allowing me to work closely with him in what I feel has been a very productive summer for the football club. There are some outstanding staff members in both coaching and administrative roles and an emerging young team that I am sure, with Mr Cellino's continued support, will ultimately find their way back to the Premier League. It is with a huge level of disappointment that I cannot continue to contribute to the revival of what now is a very strong football club once more. I wish Uwe and his coaching team all the very best in their quest for a successful season and it is reassuring to see the club moving forward again in such a positive manner. Once again, thank you for your support. Adam Pearson Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino added: “I want to thank Adam for his efforts and his loyalty to Leeds United. “I will be keeping the role open for him and I hope to welcome him back at some point in the future. “We worked very well together and we will remain good friends. He will always have my support. “It saddens me that he is stepping away to focus on other personal and business interests, but he knows that he is welcome back at the club if he feels ready.”
That's a compromise agreement statement. No doubt linked to an agreed payoff. You know this so stop playing possum.
So please tell me MC didn't say 'I will sack this Rosler Man' and Pearson said 'do that and I'm going' I fear the worst here
The mutual thanking stuff reeks of compromise agreement... The 'door's open, welcome back anytime' bit doesn't particularly. The mention of 'personal' as well as 'business' interests looks a little unusual. Wonder if there's anything in that. Of course, maybe he just wanted out. Or maybe he was pushed.... And the statements designed to make it look like Cellino didnt want him to go to try to appease the fans. The plot thickens.
I don't think you can say he was pushed. I didn't read anything in that statement that made me think that for one second. But obvously conspiracy theorists will be "reading between the lines" and coming up with things that sound ridiculous speaking as if they are factual. Its sad to see him go, he has been fantastic for this club in the short amount of time he has been here. I do kinda wish he appointed a replacement for himself before he went though because I don't really want to go back to Cellino having sole responsibility for the goings on at the club.
He has already done the majority of the hard work, I would have assumed things were easier now than day one when he stepped into the hot seat. You can't help but fear Cellino has had a chat with him and Pearson fears turmoil ahead so has departed now before risking his reputation. Guess it is wait and see time, sad he has gone, hoping it really is due to reasons outside Cellino and LUFC and fingers crossed we shall see him back one day soon.
Pearson walked out of his last job after a few weeks too unexpectedly. He has history. Stop trying to read **** into it that's likely not there
Not aimed at anyone Ristac. I dont engage in that. Lifes too short. Just stating he only stayed a few weeks in last job and walked out unexpectedly to join us, so that means he has history in my opinion
Pearson's no hero, he simply did well at the job he was paid to do Like Eire says, it's not the first time he's walked out
