Looking at the Aberdeen game at the weekend, do you think it's time for Delia to change tactics ? 1 - play Ciftci as deep lying support to Griffiths 2 - play Sanko at RB ( I have no idea why we let Fisher go out on loan!!!) 3 - switch Lustig to CB 4 - Get Boyata, Forrest and Ambrose to **** 5 - Hope the croat is a good defender 6- drop Broon for a few games 7 - play Commons 8 - only play 1 of Bitton or Rogic (too similar imo)
I warned this board of mealy-mouthed Yes Men that Boyata would be a dreadful move. Sickens me that so many on here only question our manager and board AFTER it's all gone tits-up. I'm joining the Green Brigade.
We are going through a blip although I do agree Boyata is looking shaky. Let's see how we cope in the next few weeks in the league and Europe, Malmo and Aberdeen apart we've played some lovely football but we seem to run out of gas after an hour, possibly we need to start at a lower tempo in games and stick in for the full 90 minutes instead of sitting back and making silly mistakes at the back.
ciftci should be given a free transfer in January. he should be nowhere near the team. the problem in my opinion is two fold. Our best midfielders from last year brown, bitton &johansen have been really poor. At the back we look woeful. Gordon has turned into a vampire, hopefully simunovic hits the ground running and blackett is better at centre half than he is at left back. keep lustig at right back and play izzy at left back I think you are being a wee bit harsh on Forrest, he has looked okay and did more in 10 mins on sat than rogic and gms offered while they were on the pitch on sat
If we lose by more than three goals tonight (and it's entirely possible) Deila should be shown the ****ing door.
Ronny should let someone else pick the subs (not Collins he'd be no better), his subs are a ducking Fisgrace.
Agree with much of it but it doesn't cover Deila's naivety when it comes to playing in Europe. The team isn't actually that much worse than it was a couple of years ago in terms of quality - it's just that we play a style of football that doesn't offer enough protection to the back four in Europe. You might get away with that in Scotland but you'll get punished for it in Europe - as we have been repeatedly over the past couple of years.
We are playing really ****e at the moment ... the papers are loving it... what I'm most annoyed at is that we've went full circle. It pretty much the same start as last season - out of champions league and having a ****e start to the season!
Celtic manager Ronny Deila says football "is never in a straight line up to heaven" as he contemplates mixed early season form before his team's Europa League match against Ajax in Amsterdam (Herald) Deila says if he does not lead Celtic to the Premiership title this year, then he should be sacked. (Various) He finds it "unbelievable" that there is talk of a crisis, highlighting that his team won the league by 17 points last season, have won five out of seven league matches so far and still have to play leaders Aberdeen another three times
