According to African soccer.com

'Stephane Sessègnon has now been confirmed as a Sunderland player Afrikansoccer.com can exclusively reveal.

The Benin international has signed a three-and-a-half year deal worth €6m on Thursday afternoon.

The 26-year-old thus becomes the first January signing for the Black Cats this season, moving from French club PSG.

He could however be joined by Sulley Muntari in the next few hours.

Talks are still ongoing over personal terms between Sunderland and the Ghanaian before a reported loan deal is sealed.':emoticon-0148-yes:

Aye this is SAFC we're talking about. If the window closes at say 5 pm on Monday no doubt we will get them registered at 4.59!!!!

According to some mush on the SMB we are signing 3 not 2 african midfielders the 3rd being Anthony Annan and they are all going to be presented to the media/fans etc. at the same time.

Ain't he in charge of the UN?

Be over the moon if the lad has signed, he is a talent, saying that though, only seem him play the onces (Emirates Cup a few year ago), but this years emirates cup, Daryl Murphy seem half decent :cheesy:, so not counting my chickens just yet.

Hope he turns out to be a cracking player.

I hope to god Annan is also coming, he is a proper player, also what happened to Taiwo who we were linked with last season, he was also a player and a half.

Maybe the club are waiting on Muntari to sign so they can announce a double swoop? or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
