Nope, Wenger will announce he's like a "new signing."

I think it's safe to say that we all saw this one coming.

I'd be surprised if either him or Welbeck play a game this season...

They will play again this season, problem is they will return when we are out of the CL and out of the title race.

Come now... are you suggesting Welbeck would otherwise be firing us to CL glory?!

No just suggesting that their return date will be post February.

Good grief, now this guy is injury prone.
February you say? Which means, we don't need any Jan reinforcements and he will come back like he a new signing....Not that his presence will make a sh1ts difference to us winning the league or CL.

Funny how the majority of fans basically told them so, but they still went on and bought no one. This thread was only suppose to run for a very short period but it's being prolonged. Just goes to prove how bad our injury record is.

    Option 3:

Wenger tells his staff that under no condition should they update him on player injury statuses until after the transfer window has closed every year (deniability).

    Early August:
Head Physio: "Mr Wenger I need to chat..." :emoticon-0133-wait:
Wenger: "Is it about injuries?" :emoticon-0126-nerd:
    Physio: "Yes, we..." :emoticon-0101-sadsm
Wenger: "I told you, keep it for after the transfer window." :emoticon-0127-lipss

    Mid August:
Physio: "Mr Wenger, we seriously need to have a chat..." :emoticon-0133-wait:
Wenger: "I told you how many times, no discussion until after the window!" :emoticon-0126-nerd:
    Physio: "But this is..." :emoticon-0106-cryin
Wenger: "No buts, it's simple, just keep doing your job and we'll chat in a few weeks." :emoticon-0127-lipss

    Late August:
Physio: "Listen Mr Wenger, I saw your press conference and you've got it all wrong..." :emoticon-0133-wait: <yikes>
Wenger: "I am being honest, I am just putting the facts as I know them out there. We'll schedule a meeting for 2 September, see you then." :emoticon-0126-nerd:
    <Wenger turns and walks away>
Physio: "But you're way off the mark about Jack, and especially Welbeck, he's had a major setback weeks ago..." :steam: :headbang:
<Wenger puts his fingers in his ears and continues walking>
Wenger: "Tralalalala tralalalala, I can't hear anything because I am singing. Siiiiinging, siiiinging, siiiinging down the lane." :smiley-finger007:

We very has been a brilliant manager but for the past few years a stubborn old git for not bringing in quality players.

Perhaps cos Osil isn't really that good he is frit of spending big sums on a striker and a midfielder Fabragas should have gone back to the arse

Good point. Ozil has stung to a point. He's good but nowhere near £42m good. Got good and shafted there. But then again does wasting money matter for us? It's not like we'd have saved the money and spent it online else. Money available is not a limiting factor to us right now. But Wenger has always been cack at having money to spend and identifying squad weaknesses so meh

I'd happily spend the same again on Ozil.

We do not have anything like your money but Fletcher and Rodwell being flops hurt us. Manure lost £20 on D' Maria Chavski paid £50m for Torres. It seems no matter what you spend it is a gamble...but for all clubs and whatever their budget you just have to gamble. I lived in London for years and my neighbours were gooners and season ticket holders. If one of them cold not make it I went to Highbury...saw lots of the Invincible. ...Wenger has lost the plot since then. Yep a new ground had an impact now he is it seems to scared to stick or twist

But that's because you're a Wengerite who loves anything as long as it plays for Arsenal.
