Leicester fans are the new Saints fans. Do you remember how, for most of last season, Saints fans were so far up their own arses they could lick their own tonsils, right up until it all started to go South? Well, that's how Leicester fans are becoming! It's hilarious!
... the guy that Chelsea rated so much that he ended up at Wolfsburg? ... no I'm not ... potentially Mahrez is better ... you won't like it because we are Leicester ... fair enough ... how can we be audacious enough to think we might have a cracking player eh? ... perhaps because people in the game who know far more than you (or me) are telling us so .... ... try this http://talksport.com/football/im-am...-liverpool-transfer-chief-leicester-sensation
Spurs fans are the new Spurs fans. 'Next year will be our year'. We can trace this sentiment back to when everything was in black and white.
Who said Mahrez isn't a cracking player? I watch a lot of football around Europe and I can say without hesitation that Mahrez isn't on the same level as De Bruyne, nothing to do with Leicester. Wolfsburg are one of the top teams in Germany, BTW. Putting a link up from talkshite is never going to help your cause by the way, I've saved myself some dignity by not opening the link. If Leicester are top 8 come the new year then fair enough fella, I will happily applaud you. Not after 5 games though and not when you have only played Sunderland, West Ham, Spurs, Bournemouth and Villa. Teams are still finding form and fitness, I've always believed after 10 games is when you can clearly see how teams really are. You have done what you have to do so far, so fair play, a long way to go though.
... well if you say it without hesitation it must be right ... I bow at the font of your footballing wisdom ... in contrast I have only been watching my team live since 1969 ... and I have not seen anybody in a Leicester shirt that can glide past players like Mahrez can (two that had undoubted silky skills might be Frank Worthington and Laurie Cunningham) ... I've also watched loads of football generally over that time and would reiterate that Mahrez is a very special talent IMHO ... would I personally rather watch Mahrez or De Bruyen? ... Mahrez every time ... perhaps because I have always been drawn to those who can dribble (HIAG aside ... that's a different kind of dribbling ) ... ... and as to your last paragraph - I've pulled this from another post on our board ... Form since April WWWWLWWDWWWDDW Games 14 Wins 10 Draws 3 Defeats 1 (Champions Chelsea) Goals 29 Conceded 14 Points 33 As I recall; when I made that absurd claim just before the start of the season that I could not understand the negativity aimed at us and that I saw no reason why we couldn't just kick on, you were amongst those deriding that as a possibilty even? - I apologise if I'm wrong on that by the way TWBTD - I'm getting on and my memory might not be what it was PS I probably agree on TalkSport in general - but Commoli is not the only commentator saying this - take a look at the video of your own Niall Quinn on Mahrez's performnce last weekend - I recall he described the lad's performance as 'imperious' ... PPS - if you read between the banter above you will see that my realistic ambition is no more than survival - but hopefully 'comfortably' this time around ...
Piskie and HIAG are the Not606 equivalent of Peter Griffin v Chicken guy. Rolling into other threads with their tit for tat, leaving several pages of destruction, before tumbling into another thread. BTW, good on Leicester, interesting times ahead.
Cheers Buddy - feet firmly planted but enjoying the ride - loving the philosophy of attack being the best form of defence ... if I wasn't a Leicester fan I'd enjoy watching us
You could have answered me when I said 'who said Mahrez isn't a cracking player' We aren't going to agree on Mahrez and De Bruyne, I'm happy to leave it at that. That is fantastic form since April, however last season has absolutely no bearing on this one, so I personally look no further than the 5 games you have played this season. You are right, I did think you would struggle under Ranieri, I also came on to your board and stated that it looked like I had called that wrong. Although I still don't think you will finish top half, I can't see you going down at all now. Again you are telling me people are talking about Mahrez's performances being 'imperious', why? I haven't said anything other than that myself...
... will disagree slightly on that - Man City have an identical (I think) record to ours over exactly that same period of time ... and look where they are in the table
I'm a Geordie mate, please don't confuse me by using words like this. I have just had to use google to look up the meaning
Although i agree with you (so annoyed by pundits making stats based on "calendar year" and "last 11 games") you could argue the run at the end of the season is the reason for their confidence going into this season and helping us have a good start. I'd still take any position around 14th tbh, we havn't had the hardest of fixtures and we needed points on the board early. December for me is a write off for us. As Claudio says, we have 11 points, 29 to go
Yeah, you have to say that though don't you You are going to be safe though, for sure. It's not a false start, you are playing well and have a lot of pace with quality in there. At this early stage, I'd probably say about 11th - 14th for you this season, which you should be over the moon with
